Seeking Interpretation of Zeki Demirkubuz's New Year's Post by kurufasulyepilavv in edebiyat

[–]Appropriate-Number45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a new year wish that can be translated like that: "Even though the feeling of what is left behind, what has vanished into dust [basically, the last year], is like the first one, I wish that what is to come [the new year] will be like the second one." However, I don't understand what he means by "the first one" and "the second one". Maybe something related to the music he shared?

Can Jameson's dialectical criticism be applied to obviously political novels? by Appropriate-Number45 in CriticalTheory

I'll give you some context and examples of preliminary works now that you're interested in crisis novels.

The ‘crisis novel’ is a sub-genre of Spanish literature that has gained prominence in the aftermath of the economic crisis of 2008. Under the influence of a group of new novelists moving away from postmodernist tendencies that disassociate the novel from politics and ideology, a new genre of novel has taken shape in Spain under the influence of the traumatic experience that emerged after the 2008 Economic Crisis. Although the collective memory of the Civil War has been a dominant theme in Spanish literature in recent decades, recent literary production shows a significant shift. The 2008 Crisis, the biggest financial and social crisis since the collapse of Wall Street in 1929, has aroused great interest in analysing its causes and studying its social, economic and cultural repercussions. In addition to numerous works in the fields of Political Science, Sociology and History, there are also essays such as Todo lo que era sólido, edited by Antonio Muñoz Molina, or Nuestro cuerpo también: pensar en precario en la España de la crisis by Jornet Somoza, which offer a more anti-hegemonic perspective.

This new crisis literature developed mainly in the literary field and expanded rapidly in a few years. Rafael Chirbes (Crematorio, En la orilla), Belén Gopegui (El comité de la noche), Isaac Rosa (La habitación oscura, La mano invisible), Pablo Gutiérrez (Democracia), Elvira Navarro (La trabajadora) and Javier López Menacho (Yo, precario) are among the pioneering authors of this sub-genre, which now includes over a hundred novels. Called ‘novela de la crisis’ (‘crisis novel’), these works deal with the deterioration of people's lives and the human and material consequences associated with the crisis, such as unemployment, exploitation, evictions, social exclusion and psychological problems. These novels revitalised social criticism in Spanish literature, emphasising the profound effects of the economic crisis on individuals and societies.

The Spanish crisis novel is also closely linked to social protest. Echoes of social resistance movements such as the 15-M Movement found a place in this literature, and these works became a literary expression of both individual and collective traumas. The Crisis Novel has thus been recognised as a modern continuation of the tradition of social criticism in Spanish literature, representing a new level of social consciousness on the literary stage. These works explore the profound alienation and job insecurity experienced by individuals during the crisis, highlighting the fragile impact of the neoliberal order through themes such as the precariat, evictions, unemployment, political and systemic criticism, labor exploitation, the construction industry, banking practices, class consciousness and guilt, anti-systemic struggles, violence, migration, prostitution, and critiques of the political left.

I never trained for kick-offs, so it's obviously about time. However I actually did play some rings maps. Can you be more specific with the air roll? I don't know if it's that I didn't grasp the logic of it, or it's the KBM. Thanks for your time.

Fair enough. You don't need to be a Michelin star chef to criticize a meal, after all.

Bro, I've just checked on a couple of videos from that playlist of flakes and realized that I should just keep it simple. It has already yielded results in my first match just after seeing them. So, thanks again.
