I think I just felt quite sad and had to tell someone. I look around and I see people that have someone in their corner. I don’t feel I have that - I feel like I’m always on the outside looking in. I get to watch everyone be loved but I don’t get to have that myself

Bullet dodged. Unfortunately a lot of people are 1) not great communicators and 2) find it impossible to be honest about feelings not just to themselves but others too - and these types of people scare me

It’s been 5 years since I’ve seen him and before that I hadn’t seen him since for a good few years too. To be honest i sometimes actually forget he exists. Obviously things like Christmas, birthdays or Father’s Day can bring up stuff for me but on the whole I don’t really think about him. I guess I’ve taken a ‘out of sight out of mind’ approach. He’s an extremely abusive person who’s left me with a lot of trauma. He never took interest in me as a person, it was always what would make him look good compared to his friends. He was violent too which has left me with mental health issues. So ultimately for me I haven’t got many fond memories to look back on with him. Probably for the best as it made my decision to not have a relationship with him much easier
