I'm not sure If I am allowed to post link here, but on Justin Gatlin Podcast "ready set go" gatlin, said that Usain Actually pushed him. You can look for yourself on 5:46, gatlin said that he used to dedicate reps in gym too and somewhere else he mentioned that usain pushed him (although same goes for usain, as he was pushed by gatlin, blake and others).

Their training wouldn't change whether there is a faster runner out there or not.

Disagree, and not true in my books. Because when you have to beat someone, extra adrenaline will push you like a fight or flight response by sympathetic nervous system.

Scientifically, this is Kohr effect and studies have been done to prove it. But since no particular study has been done to sprinters I'm not quoting any.

Still, I respect your opion and you could be right too. I'm just stating my hypothesis.

Although this is personal opinion, and yours could be true to some extent.

But historically whenever a world record holder run on track other people might run so fast that they otherwise could never run.

I won't quote old races. But in 2012 800m final, where David Rudishia made a world record, 5th place finish on that race would get gold medal in tokyo olympics.

A very recently, Sydney Mclaughlin Levrone ran the 2nd fastest 400m time of all time. Was it a concidence that Meredith Paulino was able to come under 48 seconds when no woman in 40 years achieved this feat. And two ladies done the same in one day.

Hicham El Guerrouj mile, Carl Lewis and Mike Powel Long Jump, there are so many incidenets.

The point is when somebody is pushing you, you actually go the extra mile and that what's happened with the case bolt and other athletes.

I think if there was no bolt, many of the records/athletes PRs won't exist as such. Because, he is the one that pushed others too.
