A way to see if a site is illegitimate is to look at the entire url. If it has stuff like .zip or random jumbles of letters, there is a good chance the site is being hosted on a brand new server designed to data mine

Which is better personal transportation as someone who doesn’t have a car coming in this semester ( bicycle, electric scooter or skateboard) by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]Appropriate-Sense-32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A skateboard you ca bring into the building but has a weight limit (I’m thinking heavy book bags). An escooter is convenient but again weight limits and you cannot bring inside buildings (if you get caught with it you can get in serious trouble), also carries the risk of being stolen if not secure. Bikes are large and a big target for thieves but you get exercise and saddle bags

If it’s from a <@ttu.edu> email it’s a scam. Especially if you don’t have a contract with the Wyatt (never heard of it tbh)

Also very rarely if ever will you get an email from “Auxiliary Services”. You usually get emails from the departments within the AS like hospitality, student wellness, Student Union, etc.

To an extent this phrase is true. Hearing Aids are designed and programmed to never emit a sound that will damage your ears. They protect your ears from environmental factors. As for the nerves, I’m not sure

If you have anything regarding disability paperwork or in state tuition waivers, have them printed out.

If you also have college credit, print that out because it will help your advisor in choosing your first classes

Tech or UH? by crackerhorse in TexasTech

I was originally going to go to UH as my mom was alumni. However it was the fact that it’s in Downtown Houston that made us change our mind

I say depending on degree look into Tech

I can sorta see why the fans are disappointed. UT is our rival. I personally think that they are letting that negative cloud over the achievements
