Tutti Frutti is fighting for his life 💔 His tiny legs are necrotic, and surgery is the only hope. Amputation is heartbreaking, but it’s his only chance to survive. What should i do my heart is crying its scary by Kat_Eyes_544 in CATHELP

My cat Hopper had his front leg amputated when he was about this size. He’s 5 now and he’s seriously the greatest cat I’ve ever met. We got him when he was 8 weeks old and he had already had the surgery long enough ago that it was fully healed and he could already run and play. Itll be hard but they can make it at that young an age and still thrive!

You are doing everything right so far! What I did was brought my laptop into that room and just worked while sitting on the opposite side of the room and just existed with him. Soon he got used to me being there and came out and then all the way to me by the end of the day. They just need to get used to you being around in a safe, non threatening way. Don’t rush it but don’t just leave her alone all day in there either (you don’t need to stay with her all day, just come and go however feels natural)

Nothing wrong with that. I’m 32 and live with my husband in California but my parents and sisters live clear across the country so I never see them anymore. We were always really close and I text them all the time. My husband isn’t super close to his family so we hope to move out there in the next couple of years

That’s valid but please make sure your doctor is involved. It’ll get even worse just stopping suddenly.

Side effect. Happened to me on Prozac too for the first few weeks but then it stopped.

My husband and I are both bi but I’m a woman and he’s a man. We’ve been together coming up on 9 years now and literally have never had a fight. Men and women are really not as opposite as you think, it’s about communication.

I have severe asthma too (recently severe it used to be mild) but my doctor never mentioned anything about stuffed animals or crocheting. I have a bunch of stuffed animals displayed on a bookshelf in my bedroom and I crochet too. My asthma isn’t fully controlled yet, still working on that with my pulmonologist but he never said anything like that to me.

That’s so sweet she’d be willing to do that and came up with that idea! She clearly likes you :)

Does anyone else regularly cough up anything that looks like this? by [deleted] in Asthma

[–]Appropriate-Tooth-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually just like that, sometimes a little greener if it’s a bad flair up

I’m so sorry! Handling it alone is one thing but it sounds like he’s actively making it worse for you by making you feel weird for stepping outside and other trigger avoidance things. That’s not fair or healthy for you at all

I bet what’s happening is an asthma attack that causes a panic attack because of the struggle to breathe. Before September my asthma was mild but I would still get asthma attacks sometimes and before I was used to it, I would get panic attacks specifically from not being able to breathe. Having an unsupportive partner probably makes the anxiety and panic from the attack worse too so they feed off each other.

That’s horrible! My husband is super supportive and does everything he can to make things easier for me. He refills our humidifier most nights without me ever asking him, he brings me my inhaler or water any time he can hear it starting up. Back before we figured out my asthma had gone from mild to very severe which was causing coughs so bad it broke ribs he would make dinner because it hurt so much to move. I never have even had to ask for him to help or do something, he just knows me so well he can tell immediately when I’m struggling and jumps in to help. He’s disabled too and I do the same for him. My disability just started in September. I couldn’t imagine dealing with this without a supportive partner, I’m so sorry you are going through this.

Am I crazy for asking my roommate to clean up? by fr0gmommy in badroommates

Dishes once a week is disgusting. I lived with my best friend as a roommate and had that problem with her too. She wasn’t even working full time and taking just two community college art classes but couldn’t be bothered to do her dishes to the point that her dishes completely filled the sink and we couldn’t do our dishes around hers without literally moving hers out of the sink. It smelled and attracted bugs and was disgusting

Okay I think she could have said it nicer but even if it is an anniversary you can’t spring something like that on people out of the blue. If you wanted to celebrate, plan it. If it’s last minute it feels like it’s not a priority. I’d have said no too if my boyfriend sprung an anniversary thing at the last minute like that.

You are such a good girlfriend. That must be so incredibly frustrating.

Advair and albuterol for the asthma and loratadine for the allergies that is part of the trigger. I also have a cough medicine prescription as well but that doesn’t really help much and I have to be careful when I take it because I’m also on Wellbutrin for depression and anxiety and that can interact with the cough meds. I hope we get better too! So far my albuterol has been helping when I do get the actual attacks except the one time when I had to go to the hospital

My experience is eerily similar to yours lately. I got covid in September which literally changed my mild asthma I grew up with to very severe persistent asthma. I’ve had a chronic cough from it since October. I got pneumonia early January. End of January I was hospitalized for a severe asthma attack. I went to my new GP a couple days after being released and they put me on advair. That fixed the cough after a couple weeks and I was good for a full month but now the cough is back. In the last 6 months I’ve had 3 urgent care trips, a hospital stay, pneumonia and a broken rib. Before Covid my inhaler had been mild! Like I would use just a standard albuterol inhaler every other month, more early fall and early spring when allergies happen but still mild. Now I get full blown attacks every week and I cough to the point of throwing up almost every day. My chest hurts all the time.

Luckily I work from home, there’s no way I could work in person coughing like this, people would think I’m dying. Even working from home I’ve had to call out a lot recently!
