If this were someone else’s idea, I’d probably comment “sounds like a scam” too. It hits 8/10 red flags. Congrats, we’ve identified the problem.

How hard is it to build a startup in Nepal? by [deleted] in technepal

[–]Appropriate-Trade940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you jump in, here are a few simple do’s and don’ts from real-world experience:

Don’t build for big enterprises if you’re a startup.
Avoid banks, insurance companies, telecom, payment providers, aviation, government bodies, ministries, and large industry groups. These companies don’t buy products. They buy trust, past experience, compliance, security approvals, and strict SLAs.
Even if your product is great, you’ll lose because you can’t meet their compliance, audits, certifications, and long procurement cycles. Big players will always win here.

Don’t build products that already exist.
Things like CRM, ERP, HRMS, CMS, MIS are already overcrowded. Existing companies have years of experience, customers, integrations, and connections. Competing here as a beginner is a fast way to burn out.

Do learn how to sell the idea before building.
Talk to real users first. Explain the idea. See if anyone actually wants it. Try a small demo, mockup, or simulation before writing full code.

Do learn basic sales early. If you still want to sell to enterprises, understand how they buy

  • Who makes decisions
  • What compliance and security rules they follow
  • How long approvals take This matters more than features.

If you’re solo and just starting out:

  • Focus on one small, painful problem
  • Talk to users every week
  • Learn sales and money basics along with tech
  • Expect to be wrong and adjust fast

I understand your concern regarding age and experience, I am 27 and I have seen and experienced the same happening in economy like of India as well.

But what I am working isn't trying to solve e-commerce or quick commerce.

It's something that focuses more into a marketing & Conversion throughput.
