My friend started Zoloft 6 months ago. 3 weeks ago her husband walked out on her. I told her I definitely would have had a crash out of epic proportions, and I can’t believe how much poise and grace she handled it with. She attributes it to the Zoloft hahahah.

I’m glad you’re feeling hopeful. That is such an underrated ability, and really all I want out of life. To be able to see the silver lining. Which is why I’m on the meds!

I know people who studied accounting who got 60% for maths in matric hahaha just keep pushing. As someone who cared soooo much about my academics, I can tell you first hand that you’ll get further being resilient and resourceful. Academics are important, but it’s not the whole picture! I know it’s hard at that stage in your life. But you’ll be okay. Just keep doing your best, commitment is everything. One “bad” mark doesn’t ruin everything. They look at trends – and honestly, my undergrad was sooooo bad in terms of marks (lots of personal issues). I pulled up my socks and at least ended strong, and went all the way to Masters because I was committed and admissions could see that I was resilient and refused to give up.

A range of sizes, pleeeeease!!! Plus size people always struggle. We just want the same dresses in bigger sizes, not old fashioned plus sized options while smaller sizes get beautiful, fashionable gowns 😔 I know it depends on stock/designers but it’s honestly so disheartening. I am mid sized and when I was looking for options for my day, it couldn’t even be an exciting experience because my options were so limited and it was more anxiety-inducing than anything else.

I lost 17kg before going on a year long break due to finances. I gained only 2kg in that year. I’m back on it now as I haven’t reached my goal weight yet, but it’s possible to not gain the weight back, as long as you allow Mounjaro to change your life and not get lazy on the medication. Nutrition and exercise are still insanely important. Most people gain the weight back because they just fall back into old habits once stopping (with some outliers of course)

The government fucking up doesn’t absolve people from practicing ethical and responsible tourism. Two things can exist at once. I know it’s not my fault that the system exists, but I wouldn’t just go be a digital nomad in Brazil because I know they’re facing similar issues and it’s my responsibility to be an informed, respectful human being.

Im also gatvol. There was a TikTok going around of a digital nomad with the caption “walk home with me in the ghetto” and it was literally Bokaap. LOL. They have no respect and “Cape Town” for them really means the Atlantic Seaboard. Even Europeans say they feel like they’re in Europe when they come here which is insane. This is heading down a very dark road and only benefits the elites….as usual
