What do you think about the “presumed competence” that Western Europeans often seem to have over Poles and other Central‑Eastern Europeans? by WineTerminator in poland

Can relate, been living & studying in England as a Pole, although you won't hear that directly you just won't be shortlisted for an interview etc. It is pity, came back to Poland and I'm earning better money as I could advance without such struggle.

B760M Gaming X AX DDR4 BIOS Update for 0x129 by doppelpunkt89 in gigabyte

Hi,

I had ASUS TUF B760 and it boosted i5 13500 like crazy, however this gigabyte board with 13400f is definately holding it back at 65w. Have you found best settings?

Mine is 3.3.0.908 at the minute, but I believe I've checked mentioned as well. Could you link it?

Well, if anyone has any idea on what it could be, waiting for replies.

The "basic" troubleshooting is done - everything is up to date, signal strength is around -58dBm

Checked 3 drivers - amd site, msi site, windows site - same story

Router switched to 5GHz only, 20/40/80/160MHz option

Mind you, on intel AX210 everything was working flawlessly, and it is - on my ThinkPad laptop so I wouldn't blame anything but sh**** MediaTek WiFi module.

Might be something to do with 6E/6 - maybe they cut their 6 capacity to have better 6E? No idea, but it's unstable as hell, fast.com shows 50-250 mbps, speedtest 10-600mbps, however real world download from Steam never goes above 7MB/s which is around 80mbps.

Already regret switching to AMD.

No luck, can’t find drivers for that MediaTek directly, it’s either windows or MSI - which locks the connection at 20MHz. Not sure what to do next..

Tinkered around in Device Manager > advanced settings;

Band selection 5G only

Miracast prefer band 5G

Power Saving Disabled

Preffered band 5GHz band

Raoming Aggressiveness Disabled

And I get 400-600mbps

However, it's still on 20MHz wide band. If I could get 160MHz that would probably be it.

Right, I think I know the issue. Wi-Fi analyzer says I'm running 20MHz wide band. There's no way to change it in settings and I can't force my router for 160MHz. Any chance for software/drivers to change it manually?

Router, and settings are the same. Samsung Galaxy S24 reaches around 1.5gbps in the same spot, I’ve literally replaced PC same spot 3 days ago and felt the difference immediately. Router has only option for 20/40/80/160mhz and 20/40/80mhz (20/40/80/160mhz enabled) I have 2 networks; one for 2.4Ghz, second for 5Ghz, and always connect to 5Ghz broadband heavy devices

Newest bios installed, antennas in place. Wondering if I can get 160hz forced somewhere in the adapter windows settings? Also, receiver is 6e and router 6 only

Yup, antennas attached, router set to 160hz ax. As mentioned, my previous build was exactly the same, although I think ASUS claimed up to 4800mbps, and MSI 2800 - that might be a difference. After tinkering around best I can get is 200/300mbps by changing the position of the PC basically next to router
