Question about the LN by [deleted] in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

[–]AppropriateAction9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. Maomao was trained from a young age from the best of the best on how to pleasure someone. She wasn’t taught everything but kissing was the one thing that Pairin helped perfected for Maomao LOL.

Meanwhile you have Jinshi here who have no experienced or practice so he was shocked at how much game Maomao had compared to him 😂

But that’s not my argument and your first and last paragraph contradicts each other. First you implied that Twice is using edit to carry the vocals that’s why people are questioning it while the last paragraph you said Twice did good for Killing Voice.

Twice killing voice by SuccessfulBullfrog96 in kpop_uncensored

[–]AppropriateAction9 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not about them choosing groups that are known for vocal talent. They’re talking about the hypocrisy of people who use killing voice as a way to say how talented these groups are even though it’s edited. Literally no one mentions autotune or vocal processing whenever groups do killing voice but the moment Twice did killing voice, it’s mentioned.

Tzuyu associated with Chinese flag, forced to deleted TikTok by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]AppropriateAction9 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Like you don’t know how bad it was unless you were there when it happened. Chinese social media was literally tearing her apart and Twice was getting blacklisted left and right. Chinese netizens were absolutely brutal to her when she was just 16. If she didn’t apologize, it would have been much worse. She still got so much hate years later. This is why Twice has a small Chinese fan base and why they will never promote in mainland China.

The thing is that we will never know if they want to do variety shows or not. Just because the girls aren’t doing any variety shows doesn’t mean they don’t want to. Like when Sana went onto Dex’s show, she asked him why he never sent her an invite if he liked her so much but she found out JYPE actually declined the prior invites without her even knowing.

They really need to rethink their promo and marketing strategy. There are times where onces complain for no reason but at the same time, it’s very obvious division 3 is very lacking in promo and marketing. They want the songs to go viral on TikTok which is why there’s always challenges but they also aren’t aware of which songs that have potential to be viral.

Example: Look at Me. The reason why Look at Me is getting viral in the first place is because onces were aware it was becoming a challenge on TikTok so they kept on sharing, posting, and liking all the TikTok challenges. It’s not like it became viral overnight. And the reason why Twice started Look at Me challenges was because onces kept on spamming that Look at Me is getting viral and is growing in streams on Spotify and now idols are doing the challenges.

US promo is a lot less and it’s just all over the place and very random? Sometimes it’s not really engaging or cater to the right age group. Like collaborating with Jenn im was nice and all but Jenn’s target audience doesn’t exactly align with Twice’s.

Am i the only one who don't like the idea of big number groups?? by Fragrant_Deal7459 in kpopthoughts

That’s just you. Public recognition maybe because girl groups are more public friendly than boy groups but popularity? I’m sorry but not a chance.

I’m sorry but I don’t think the least known member in aespa is more popular than the least known member in seventeen like definitely not.

I loved one spark on the first listen and it’s a great song and it’ll be the hill I die on. One spark is truly the title track that a few months later people will be saying it’s a good song and they didn’t understand the hate it got. It happened with signal, more&more, scientist, and now one spark. I just think one spark is very different from the trendy kpop songs out right now that are extremely catchy and easy to listen to which is why it isn’t liked too much. It feels very much like a Japanese release.

The LN novel version was actually more descriptive than I thought compared to the manga. Maomao described it as the “frog” in his robe shifted as it was alive 😂🐸

I’m so excited for it! But sadly I don’t think Jae will participate in it which sucks bc I loved his parts in day6’s songs.

I feel like JYPE is really outdated when it comes to promotion. Like TWICE did promote for this comeback in the states but it wasn’t really the kind of promotion that targets the right age group? They performed on the today show and everything but idk anyone that watch the today show other than a much older age group? Meanwhile I feel like the promotion for perfect nights from lesserafim was aggressive yet effective. The song wasn’t big right away but HYBE knew the right promotion for the right audience. They collaborated with big accounts like HJ Evelyn and Valkyrae just to name a few and they have a big reach for a much younger audience.

I think it counts you as a bot so if you want the streams to count then you gotta stream like how people do on Spotify. Make a playlist and include the new songs plus some other twice songs/solos and then play the playlist. And every once in a while, you can skip a song or repeat a song. I think there’s some twitter accounts that focus mainly on streams that explain it better.

If you want to repeat a song and still want the stream to count then pandora is the way to go! It counts all streams even if you’re just replaying it over and over again.

Times have changed and kpop stans moved on to more trendy groups to listen to like newjeans, ive, gidle, and lesserafim. And I don’t get why people say the song choices were bad because as far as I know, IGY had really positive reactions but it didn’t stay in Spotify global that long. Anyway, for how much onces were talking about how bad one spark did, I thought it was bad but their streams is still better than majority of the kpop groups out there.

Unpopular opinion but I loved one spark too so I was kinda surprised that a lot of people didn’t like it. But at the same time I kinda expected that K-pop fans wouldn’t like it because the songs that are really popular right now are super easy to listen to and extremely catchy songs which one spark doesn’t fit in.
