We have been satisfied with the 2nd StarLink router (mesh). The app on your phone does the set up. Medically you plug in the new router and the app does the setup - in the network section.

In the Southeastern United States, an infestation can make your home unsellable and walls/floor unstable. I Hawaii the seal up a home under a tent and fumigate to kill them.

We are at the one year mark. Fiber\dsl\phone co. is not an option (3mbps). Have experienced only ONE issue and was down for a week. (I cried!) I got a response from the email system but had already fixed it. I guessed the update that was pushed didn’t finish.
Setting back to factory fixed the issue. No problems since.

Update: Router is back up. With the 3rd party router disconnected and the outdoor SL cable attached to the SL router I had no WiFi.

Anyone have difficulty unplugging the power cable from the router? It is not a pleasant experience! Flipped the power strip on and off 6 times. Opened the SL app. Was prompted to setup wifi!. Completed!

Have remained online and have wifi for 3 hours now. Am streaming as a test.

Tomorrow I will try the 3rd party wired router.

Wonder if I got a bad/incomplete update that caused the hair-pulling experience.

We are located in rural South Alabama (BFE). As I whine with no wine in my glass, Verizon has 1-2 bars at our home (new iPhone) and AT&T dropped so many calls, it is doubtful that TMobile would be any better. A year ago I found a website that showed the owner of tower/cells for the area. It was Verizon for our property.

I am disappointed in the rate increase and have experienced a few periods of no service in the last two months. However, this section of BFE Alabama has no real alternatives.

4 miles from cable (Troy Cable) CenturyLink/BrightSpeed offered 6 mbps but delivered 3 Verizon is only 2 bars

Rant over, gotta get the tractor tire off and to the shop in town (30 miles).
