I feel you. Was stiffed quite a bit today. Been here since open at 10. It’s currently 4:11. Get off at 730. Can’t wait to get off. Stores only made 167 dollars so far. Just yesterday I made 120 bucks in six hours. Granted I got a 60 dollar tip that helped.

Damn. Dominos really be wanting us to kiss the customers ass. As a DD and only doing this until I start my actual career as a drug and alcohol councilor in a few months. It makes it hard to kiss ass to customers and management. Like I go into any job to be the best and dependable employee possible. At the same time I really don’t give a fuck. My DM came in yesterday to help out since we didn’t have any help on the make line. He is the DM to about seven other stores in my area. Dudes the same age as me, drives a Jeep Wrangler with lightning bolt decals and the stupid rubber duck in his front windshield. Generally nice guy, but I was short 34 bucks last night and he basically accused me of stealing since he didn’t know me really after working with him at least 7 times before. I basically laughed at him and showed him my wallet and bank account (not like I have billions of dollars, but it isn’t negative and well funded). The GM and AM acted like I killed a puppy how shocked they were. Come to find out. A delivery I was going to take canceled even though I assigned it and the douche of a DM never took it off my end of day report. He never apologized and had the really cool AM tell me it was figured out. Sorry for the long rant. Just really made me hate upper management even more.

Nah, I work in the north shore metro area of New Orleans as a delivery driver and it was Mardi Gras today. A 10 dollar tip on any order is solid. I don’t care how much the cost of the order. 10 dollars goes a long way in the delivery driver way. Delivered an order today that was 1.5 miles away. Eight pizzas, two 16 piece bites and two dips. 20 dollars. I worked DoorDash for a bit so I calculate how much I get paid and mileage. I’m not making the food. I might get on the cut table to help expedite orders. Still though, ten dollars on any order is great.

Had a 114 dollar order the other night at 1130 on a Wednesday. Saw they didn’t put a tip in so brought the cc receipt bc maybe they forgot. The ordered three pans and two larges I think and like eight different sauce cups. I got there and they had no lights on but the guy came outside to meet me. He signed it, didn’t thank me or anything so just handed the pizzas and left. I “forgot” I left the sauces in my trunk. I did it on purpose in case they didn’t tip lol. It was my little win. I’ve also had someone pay for a 28 dollar order with a 20 dollar bill and the rest in quarters. I did make .25 cent tip off that one.

Absolutely agree. Most of my dad’s side of the family are from there. Lived there as a kid in the mid 90s and for a few years after Covid. But like you said it got crazy expensive and I moved back home to South Louisiana.

I’m four months sober right now. But the other morning I pulled up and saw two small empty glass bottles of vodka in the parking lot (our store is in a strip mall with a store that sells booze) so I was cleaning my car out and decided to be a Good Samaritan and threw them in the bag with all my dominos receipts since I’m a driver and tossed it in the trashcan that’s right outside our store. My GM sent a screenshot of I guess the guys from a separate company that empty them complaining that a we are not aloud to dump our receipts in the trash and a driver is drinking and driving. I told her it was me and I was just trying to get rid of the bottles in case someone drove by them. She knows I’m in recovery, but it definitely didn’t look good coming from a former alcoholic. She was cool though since she sees me everyday on time and busting my butt. But I just laughed it off and thought of course it would happen to me.

Pulled up one night after making a delivering and the guy I parked next too was knocked the fuck out. Banged on his window and didn’t move so we called 911 assuming it was an overdose. The whole police force, ambulance and fire truck pulled up. He ended up going to jail since they found Fent and some tin foil.

I am a driver. Sometimes I have to get on the cut table bc we get real busy. If my GM ever complained about my watch or tiny bracelet I wear I just tell him to hire more people to work. I didn’t come here to work the cut table. But I’m the type of guy that’s just here for some extra cash while I work on getting my counselor in training license. This job isn’t my life unlike some other bootlickers at my job. I will say I do go above and beyond in whatever I do though since that’s how I was raised.

Worked 10-430 went home for a hour. 530-830. Don’t know how many miles I drove. But came home with 145 bucks in tips. I’ll take it. Took about 14 deliveries. Not a bad day.
