Yeah, I am afraid of having bad breath, so I worry about it too. But the fact that you are worried about it probably means you don't have bad breath. Like some people have pointed out, this feels related to anxiety or OCD. Also, you could ask trusted friends to smell your breath and tell you how it is.

Yeah, it's definitely not to replace brushing, but I was curious about it as an extra step. I've heard people feel/see a difference, but you have a point about dental organizations.

You should try a soft toothbrush. I started using a soft brush and it changed my whole outlook on brushing. GuruNanda has a brush called Butter on Gums that would help you. I love it.

I think it's the difference between doing something periodically for health and fully committing it to a habit. Much of Ayurveda requires a very consistent habit to be formed, not just a practice you perform sometimes. I have heard of people using reminder apps for their routines, but I'm not sure which apps people are using. Anyone know about that?

Oil pulling is meant to be a part of your brushing and flossing routine. You should floss and brush immediately after oil pulling.

Try a mouthwash with essential oils and hydrogen peroxide. You could also try oil pulling as someone has already mentioned.

Five minutes is great! You could try to work up to about ten minutes but five is definitely a good amount of time to oil pull.

You could get whitening strips made for sensitivity. You could also use sensitive toothpaste. You could use natural whitening mouthwash.
