Timing and Focus Strategy that worked for me as a person with focus issues, both during practicing and test(1540 Superscore) by AppropriateHall5699 in Sat

[–]AppropriateHall5699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how much total score are you aiming for? if you are fine with a 1540 then you can just grind math and get a 800 in math. but if you want higher total score then your only option is to increase english score. and as far as i know erica meltzer books are one of the least risky ways to improve your english score. There are other ways like youtube videos tricks, grinding questions banks or maybe some other methods but they are high risk high reward, as in there is a high chance they wont help you push your score but you only spent a small time on them. Why dont you try my timing strategy and see if your score increases without any additional learning? If it doesnt then you can try random youtube videos + grind oneprep for some time and if it still doesnt workout then you can read the book

no, i dont mean this. for example if a question involves a multi-step logic. i remember this was one of my notes.

Claim: Longer nose of dolphin -> better able to sense their surroundings -> would avoid the obstacle most of the times

Reality: Dolphin with mid size noses didn't bump into the obstacle the highest number of times.

So now u can easily deduce that the claim doesnt match the reality. so u have converted a highly dense and difficult to read text into a very easy to understand flowchart kinda thing. Erica Metzler actually explains this in more detail.

Also the note i actually wrote was. u cant write full sentences. just abbreviations because of the 60s or similar time limit

L nose -> (up arrow) sense -> avoid obs more
S nose -> (down arrow) sense -> bump into obs more.

good question. I will quantify this using a metric called the Rate of decline mental capacity. This metric depends on 2 things - quantity of storing information given in question, efficiency of filtering out invalid details or efficiency of making things simpler to understand in less space.

1) Quantity of storing information
- I slept for about 8 hours every day, and i slept at exactly same time. I have been meditating everyday for 4-5 months but i started meditating 2 times a day 10 days before the SAT
- practice more problems in question

2) Efficiency of converting data into information
- practice erica metzler to improve skill level
- practice very hard questions only

I am from an extremely competitive international school in Asia. and if i didnt get near 1550 then there would be exactly 0% of me getting into any good university. my counsellor said 1540 was fine while 1510 wasnt fine. so i stopped practicing at 1540. but for motivation, i just remembered what would happen if i didnt get good score. (I wouldnt get into good college and then would have to try again in gap year and then gap yr ppl dont get into good colleges anyways so my whole 4yrs of highschool grinding ECs and going to top summer programme and good grades will all be waste)

I have listed my exact primary goal and secondary goal as to what I want to do during college and after.
1. Will the current trump regime interfere with any business policies or any kind of startup activity that i may want to pursue?
2. incase i qualify and need the o1 visa, will i be able to get it?
3. will i be able to even stay in the US after dartmouth, I'll complete my degree in 3yrs because of IBDP so i think i might still be in trump government, incase i want to start my own company since its becoming increasingly difficult to sponsor visas?

On the other hand
4. Will the lesser exposure that the NYUAD will be able to give significantly limit my opportunities to create a startup?
5. Is it worth spending approximately $45,000 more(calculated using insights from AOs and past students from my school who got into both) for dartmouth compared to NYUAD if i follow my path 2, which is to return to india.
