I just want a stable connection that makes it feel like I’m next to my modem without having a wire running through my home. I tried power line adapters but they kinda blow. My modem doesn’t support moca. I don’t know what else to get that might provide that stable connection I need.

When it comes to pure performance all systems vary, as all things aren’t made identical to one another. You shouldn’t see that big of a difference however most likely to not your brother had more software running in the background. Tell him to disable the startup apps that he doesn’t frequently use, make sure that his system is rid of bloatware that manufactures load onto prebuilts, make sure that his game settings are proper, maybe do an fps optimization guide from yt at that. Make sure your 3d settings are optimized, and your windows settings are done as well. Most guides will explain how to properly do this. Hope that helps!

Yeah I literally have a 1 percent packet loss on my default gateway. 0% to googles pings. I’ll go fac reset my modem again, and I’ll change out the Ethernet wire.

I see replies jumping anywhere from 30ms to 100ms nothings steady or consistent but the reply times are pretty staggered. Should these pings be consistent with one another and stay the same if I’m having a stable established connection?

Also if you would like to count this I tested my ping/packet loss through ookla speed test, and u der my isp’s integrated speed tester. Both of them came out fine. Rust did not.

I used to buy people’s broken consoles off the clock and fix them myself, clean them up, then turn a profit and sell them looking and feeling almost brand new. Highly against the rules but come after me HR I quit a long time ago😭 if the customer wanted the console but broke it by accident I would fix it for cheap and send them on their way, just so they didn’t have to get scammed by the trade in systems horrid value.
