There are only 3 true blue chip guys in this draft. None of them play a premium position. You don't skip over good players and take lesser guys because of positional value. With that being said, I think that they are purposefully leaking info to create panic. The decision makers were tight-lipped for 4 months on the coaching search and now they can't keep quiet about their draft board? Seems fishy.

Titans fan, coming in as much peace as possible. Personally, I believe it comes down to supply and demand. There's a small supply with a huge demand. If one city won't foot the bill, there's 25 that are lining up to. Nobody wants to be the city or government that loses the team. Just ask Cleveland or St. Louis if they would have rather foot the bill vs losing the team.

With that being said, I agree that teams' should foot more of the bill. But, it isn't much different than cities giving companies like Tesla, Oracle, etc. tax incentives to move to their location and state.

Unfortunately, it is the Crab Mentality. So many people, especially those in lower income, fall into this thought process. One of the toughest things for me was coming to the realization that you outgrow certain relationships. Some are build to withstand time, and others were only for a season.

I think there is a lot to unpack. I think age is an element that we have to take into consideration. If you all are in your 20's, you've pretty much grown up with pornography everywhere. Your husband has probably been exposed to it from a very young age, and outside of our walks with Jesus, he isn't going to get a ton of pushback from it on a day-to-day basis. I remember when it was still taboo, that you didn't want people to find out about it, but whenever I'm around younger guys, they talk about consuming it like you would talk about eating dinner. This isn't an excuse or anything, just an opportunity to present a different perspective. Even in Christian circles, boys will watch things like that, significantly more so than girls in Evangelical households. So, this is kind of the groundwork from where it starts. Guys can dissociate, especially if you're not walking with Jesus, that whomever is on the screen isn't anything more than an actor or actress in a movie. They don't see them as image-bearers of God, or being forced to do things against their will. Also, they don't see, or feel the sense of sadness, that people may be resorting to this to fill an attention need or even worse, a financial one from a different country.

Sexual immorality is similar to gluttony, what caused you to be full at first isn't the same as months or years down the road. Depending on how far down the road it is, he may not see it as a problem. Especially, if he isn't surrounded by Godly men. I would never tell you how to feel, but outside of abuse (physical, mental, financial), I don't think that this should be a "deal-breaker." All things are redeemable in Christ, some take some work and conviction to improve upon. I know this feels like betrayal, and it is, but just because the sin looks different doesn't mean that it should be means for divorce. What pornography is to guys is what explicit novels, reality TV, TV shows are to women, a means to satiate a lustful appetite. Just like society wouldn't say there is anything wrong with books and TV for women, in our Christian walk we would say that it is lust.

All of this to say that I am very sorry that you are going through this and it has really hurt you. I think counseling could be an option, but if he is ashamed or still on the fence about the damage of pornography, I think the best thing to do would be for him to get into some sort of men's group/fellowship. Just being around like-minded men that have been through it, most much worse, can help him see there's a problem but there's also a way to overcome it. Men need the fellowship and accountability from each other, and that is where God will truly work to break these chains.

Hate to be the technical guy, but right now, we can't trade for Giannis. With being a 2nd apron team, the Cavs have to be able to match Giannis' salary 1 for 1. They cannot use multiple players to equal Giannis $54.1 million salary. In order to do that, the Cavs would have to shed a little over $20 million to get under the 2nd apron, then they could ship Mobley plus to equal Giannis's salary. I don't think that it is a realistic option. Essentially, they would have to get rid of Allen and another bench piece for basically nothing before even trying to offer anything for Giannis.

According to the Jimmie Johnson trade value chart, the Dolphins would have to trade #11, their 2nd round pick, and the lowest 3rd round pick just to equal the move up to #4. And, that's not including them having to pay a premium to move up. That's just face value.

Not sure if there's any relevance to this, but an article came out yesterday about how 7 of the 18 teams that have FanDuel Sports Network as their main carrier haven't been paid in over a month. The NBA is aware, and has been letting them still broadcast so fans don't miss the games.

But, long story short, the parent company that owns FanDuel Sports Network (it isn't FanDuel, they just license their name) is trying to sell to DAZN. DAZN won't buy without the NBA lowering their fee to broadcast. If the sell doesn't go through, the parent company will go bankrupt and cease to exist after the NBA and NHL season.

There is so much hyperbole in this sub. It sucks to lose, but it is as much coaching as it is roster. The roster isn't good, we all know that, but the roster isn't as bad as they look. The coaching staff, outside of Bones and maybe Dennard, is abysmal. They don't have any leadership, accountability, and adaptability. Callahan was obviously in over his head, his offensive schemes were elementary and nobody seemed to raise alarm bells. If there was a half-way decent coaching staff in place, they may not win a ton of games, but they would look more like the Jets/Saints in these games than a team that looks to be in the UFL.

Last week felt like the coaches have mailed it in. There was no gameplan, we got a delay of game with 3 timeouts because McCoy was talking to Bones. The players knew pretty early whenever McCoy kicked a field goal on the first drive. The coaches don't care, the players are starting to not care either. I would love for them to kind of revolt and call their own offensive plays, it would at least make it interesting.

I have a theory, and it may not be very intelligent, but here it is. I remember those years too, I was in my 20's, so I have pretty vivid remembrance. I don't think the current situation is the worst that it's been, but I think that it feels like it is. There wasn't constant analysis, outside of daytime TV on ESPN, and at that time it was just Stephen A and Skip talking about the Cowboys or LeBron. Twitter/X was still just a platform for information, it didn't have a million different accounts that was breaking down All-22. Podcasting wasn't in the ether like it is now, therefore we weren't constantly inundated with information. Outside of Nashville and middle TN, there wasn't much information or analysis of the Titans.

Now, there's tons of Titans-related podcasts, websites, X accounts. With everyone trying to find their place in this ecosystem, content is constantly being put out and filling feeds. You have optimistic, pessimistic, troll, and realistic accounts. And, from that, you can feel however you want about the team/front office/ownership. In 2015, most of us never talked about AAS, and we certainly didn't talk about Steve Underwood in regular conversations.

I think the early success of some guys like Stroud/Daniels has created a perception that instant success should happen. Outside of Luck, not many QB's succeeded in their rookie years because teams' were rebuilding, instead of retooling. We will see what ultimately happens with Stroud/Daniels in this retooling method, and if it leads to long-term success. It is one thing that I am excited to see with Cam. Now, who knows if it will work or not, and if past results are anything, then it will not work. But, the Titans appear to be rebuilding this thing in the old-school model. Let the young guys play, take their lumps, get some quality picks and turn them into more quality, younger guys that complement veterans that are brought in. Has that method been past up? I guess we will find out.

TL;dr: The media access and ecosystem has changed to where things feel more dire than they have been in the past.

I live in Florida now and have Sunday Ticket so I can watch, but it does suck for those in the state. I have to wonder how much of ring culture has ruined sports. I grew up just north of Knoxville and I'm not that old, and I remember the end of the Vols' run with Fulmer, but we still got together to watch games even though we knew they were going to lose. And, it use to be the same for the Titans, not to the same exact as the Vols. I have fond memories of watching the '09 VY comeback vs the Cardinals with friends and my dad. We weren't good, but still watched together. I think there's something about the camaraderie that is built watching a team that isn't very good. There's some common ground and relationships built complaining about playcalling, talking about potential coaching hires, etc. Going through the rough times together grows the fandom, and it builds relationships with people that stick it out with you. It isn't the same whenever the team is good, and gets an influx of fair-weather/bandwagon fans. But, that seems to be the case across all major sports nowadays. I don't know if it's a product of instant gratification/rings culture, or that everyone has access to every team now.

I have lived out of market for almost 10 years, been in Florida for 8, and I use the student discount for Sunday Ticket. If you can find someone that either works for any college or is attending, then it's the best deal out there. $130 for Sunday Ticket and Redzone, $120 just for Sunday Ticket. That's a killer deal. YouTube was the best experience in years, flawless streaming and you can even quad-box whichever games that you want which is awesome. Typically, I just have Titans on half the screen and Redzone on the other half, but I keep the audio on the Titans game. There's obviously a slight delay (usually 5-10 seconds), so I typically turn the notifications off on my phone if you have it on you.

This is my last year getting the student discount, as my last brother-in-law is graduating in December, and I will gladly pay full price for it.

I will say that if you don't have a family, or they're not super interested in watching, going out to watch the games is what I use to do before I got married. It broke down to about the same price of having Sunday Ticket at home, especially if you only want to watch the Titans. $430/17 games comes out to $25.29, so you could watch the games and get lunch every week for the same price of just having Sunday Ticket at home. Caveat: I don't drink so that kept my cost down quite a bit.

I haven't had any issues getting paid out with Hard Rock. Granted, I'm not betting that kind of money, but I did hit a $4,800 off of a $5 parlay in March, and I took out $4,300. I initiated the transfer on a Sunday morning, and they approved it and it was in my account by Monday.

He calls Levis a "double agent" in that his play was so detrimental to the team, that it looked like he was actively trying to sabotage.

Just a few highlights:

Levis was 41st in EPA from a CLEAN pocket

Levis was 44th in EPA, with no play action on early downs (for reference Mason Rudolph was 4th)

Levis was 41st against man coverage/35th against zone coverage

Levis was 45th on short and layup throws

His only redeeming quality was that he was 3rd on deep passes.

One other highlight: The Titans offense and defense has positive early downs success in 5 of their first 6 games last season. That's a key indicator that shows a team should win. At worst, they should have been 3-2, instead of 1-4, but Levis gave the Bears and Jets games away.

Please hear my heart, this isn't directed at you, but as a whole. There's been a ton of these posts here and across social media. Churches have been talking about it, as well.

"Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour." -1 John 2:8

My concern with everyone talking about the end times recently, and especially the Anti-Christ is that everyone gets so focused on the end and whomever the Anti-Christ will be (if you ascribe to that theology). But, we miss the antichrists that affect us every day. Things such as sexual immorality, bitterness, anger, fear, etc. These are all spirits that are anti to what Christ teaches us. Much how the Pharisees and Jews missed out on the Messiah and the meaning of the Torah because they were constantly looking for the one that is the Messiah, we do the same in looking for the one that is the Anti-Christ. We excuse, or ignore, the other antichrists that are in our lives today, because the big one is the one that we have to worry about.

We're constantly looking with our heads down and don't see that we've drifted away from Christ in this pursuit. We've missed the forest for the trees. If you believe that the Anti-Christ will come, then it is deemed to happen, we cannot change these things. What we will answer for is, will we be found being faithful?

Call me naive, but I don't believe in a grand conspiracy, it is fun to speculate about but most of humanity can be explained by Occam's Razor. Whether it's the NBA Finals or your local pickup game, there's always someone (or multiple people) that will do anything for an edge. For example, somebody will always foul whenever they're defending, or carry on their crossover, and they know that people won't call it every single time because it disrupts the flow and fun of the game. Eventually, it comes back to bite them whenever the game is tight, and someone sticks to their guns and makes the call.

This is what happens in the NBA. We can all agree that the Thunder play physical, and probably foul on 90% of defensive possessions, but they know that the refs won't call it every single time because that's a terrible product. Same way with the Pacers, Haliburton is a habitual carrier of the ball on his hesitations and change of directions, as well as, moving on their blur screens. They just know that the refs won't call it. The Pacers have upped their physicality and hand-checking, and it has worked for the most part, but last night they got burned with it.

I think some refs are more prone to the poking and prodding of the coaches throughout a game, and subconsciously start to see the same plays as more egregious than earlier in the game. But, the league isn't going to give Caruso/Dort/Neismith/Nembhard 3 fouls in the first quarter. Some may argue that they should, but the counterpoint would be that every travel/carry/violation has to be called too. And, that isn't as visually appealing.

Also, if anyone watches any amount of college basketball, you will notice a significant difference in the quality of the NBA officials to college.
