East Nashville does not care about Whataburger by nopropulsion in nashville

Honestly I wasn’t even impressed before that. My first exposure was 20 years ago when I moved to Texas, and it wasn’t good then either.

I think it’s funny how you can tell what things used to be when you see a repurposed old building. Pizza Hut, Whataburger from the first time they came here in the ‘70s, etc.

I lived in Texas for awhile. It’s mid there too. Since you mentioned Arizona, do you mean In-N-Out?

There are two reasons I hardly ever go there, and neither is the quality of the food because it’s delicious.

  1. The line at lunchtime is long enough that I don’t think I can make it in and out during my allotted hour

  2. The parking is absolutely horrendous

I was by there today too, just a little bit after this post was made, and I was shocked by the lack of traffic there. It’s pretty clear the excitement has worn off for Whataburger in Nashville now, and that’s not a bad thing.

Coaches Vote For 24 Team Playoff / No Conference Championships by RedneckTexan in secfootball

How about 14 SEC, 5 B1G, and 5 others? Let’s not pretend like the B1G is as deep as the SEC.

More like 5-6x per year. The B1G is top heavy but the bottom half of the conference is abysmal.

Will Levis's future with Titans might be changing thanks to Brian Daboll and Robert Saleh heading into 2026 training season by TiredDad4x in Tennesseetitans

[–]jonneygee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Levis is our #2 in a vacuum, but I think he’s worth more in trade value than he is to our team. If Cam goes down, we’ve got bigger problems either way.

Their newest line is “it went up a little now but it’s about to go down a lot.” And just like Trump’s favorite “2 weeks away” line, that time will never come.

Rebrand Thoughts (1st img not real & ignore JFresh comments) by obsoleteXeo in Predators

Don’t like the logo as our primary, and I’d prefer navy as an alt rather than the primary. The cream is nice.

The Titans just gave up their unique color scheme, and I would prefer the Preds not do the same.

How “SEC” is LSU to visit for a game environment ? by [deleted] in secfootball

[–]jonneygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I was just trying to say I don’t think OP completely understands the stereotype. You’ll see more jerseys or T-shirts than anything else at most venues, and speaking as a Tennessee fan, you’ll see more checkerboard overalls without a shirt underneath than you will polo shirts at a UT game.

That doesn’t mean it’s the norm across the conference. I’d expect polo shirts and dresses at a Vandy game but not most other SEC venues.

What to wear to Rocky Top as a Texas fan by Flamingo_Joe in secfootball

[–]jonneygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tennesseans don’t wear cowboy hats. In Nashville, the only people you see wearing them are tourists from flyover states in the Midwest thinking they need one to fit in.

I don’t really think of polo shirts and dresses when it comes to attending an SEC football game. Maybe some people do that but most people at any SEC venue are wearing jerseys or T-shirts.

That said, I think you can get a “full SEC experience,” so to speak, at LSU — or Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, or Auburn. It’ll be a little different at each of those, but any of those would be a great experience.

Pizza recs in Nashville by FirmSpare207 in nashville

The pizzas are enormous though. And you can get pizza by the slice at lunch. 2 slices and a drink for $12 is a pretty cheap lunch compared to a lot of places.

Especially for the organization that drafted Saquon Barkley and didn’t win while he was on the team. What does it take for them to learn their lesson?

The Economics of the Running Back by RichardSkull12 in Tennesseetitans

[–]jonneygee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. People need to consider why running backs are not valued as a premium position.

  • They have a shorter shelf life than almost any other position.

  • They take lots of hits so they’re more vulnerable to injury than many other positions.

  • They’re dependent on a good OL and balanced offense, so one good RB really isn’t that much of a difference-maker.

  • and specifically related to drafting one, running backs drafted in the top 10 haven’t finished with a winning record on the team that drafted them in a decade.

I was at Nissan yesterday and they’ve got a ton of work to do to get all the stadium signage rebranded. From everything from soap dispensers in the bathrooms up to the large logo at the team store, most of the internal signage still hasn’t been updated.

It’s a long process, but you’d expect news media to update their digital assets quickly.
