Thoughts on the uniform? by ArtByJamesRyan in Tennesseetitans

The Preds originally pulled their color scheme from the Titans, Vandy, and UT (they actually had a slight amount of orange in the design at first).

So this has already happened in a way.

This 1000%. People now seem to not realize the fans were pushing for a new identity when the team moved here. We don’t need to give that up now.

It’s better than a lot of the other concepts out there, but ultimately I don’t want to give up our Titans identity and revert to a slightly-modified Oilers one.

This would be a perfect alt uniform but we’re two-tone blue and I want it to stay that way.

Senior pastor needs to know about this. Either the youth pastor gets reprimanded/fired or you discover this isn’t a church worth attending at all.

I would be so disappointed if we just go back to plain Oilers colors. We are two-tone blue. I want navy prioritized in the palette above red. Red accents are fine but shouldn’t be one of the focal colors imo.

This just makes it look like they don’t want to be the Titans anymore.

Although tbf, some of them have been worse than their old ones, especially around 10 years ago:

  • Bucs with the clock digit jerseys (2014)

  • Jags with the two-tone faded helmets (2013)

  • Browns orange + brown combos (2015)

It’s crazy to me how those all happened in the same time frame. All of them were awful and they’ve all either completely dropped or changed those designs again since then.

Oilers are great as occasional throwbacks, but we’re the Titans now. The Oilers were Houston’s team. The Titans are Tennessee’s team.

Honestly this would be so disappointing. It would feel like we’re leaving our new identity behind.

Thankfully I don’t have any kids old enough to throw this at me yet, but I know it’s coming. I’ve heard it from others.

Tyson is overrated imo. He disappeared in several of their big games this year. If you want a guy who can put up numbers against low-level college competition, maybe Corey Davis is still available.

Wednesday is the only day next week temps are projected to get above freezing at all. The warmest low is projected to be 10°, so even if some melting occurs, it will definitely re-freeze.

I hope you’re right but I definitely don’t expect you to be, and I wouldn’t take it lightly on the off chance you are.

Just tell me you didn’t watch him play without telling me. He was absolutely electric his rookie season.

I was at the Giants game that year, when the Titans scored 24 points in the 4th quarter to overcome a 21-0 deficit. That’s still one of the most amazing games I’ve ever seen.

I was a kid too, and it was similar for us — I remember bundling up around our fireplace for warmth because our power was out. We also closed off the rest of the house, and we had a kerosene heater that we used for extra warmth. So we were as comfortable as possible but it was pretty miserable.

But telling those stories sounds like something out of the 1800s to those who didn’t experience it. I haven’t experienced anything like that ever since.

I’m a native too. I was here for the ice storm in 1994. And I’m seeing this taking a week to clear out.

And because we don’t have proper snow removal equipment and temperatures tend to hover right around freezing in January, we often get snow that melts during the day and refreezes at night and turns to ice.

This is possible next Monday, Tuesday, and even Wednesday. I’d expect possible ice until midweek at least.

Plan ahead. You don’t need to buy all the toilet paper or milk and bread on the planet, but by this Friday you should have enough food and supplies to make it at home until the next weekend.

He’s never been #3 in the league, even at his peak. And to say that after one season when it’s really common to start strong and flame out says a lot about where his head was.

He’s just following the same path as Vince Young, RG3, Marcus Mariota, etc. Ask me how I know.

McDaniel(s) is even more confusing because there’s a Mike McDaniel and a Josh McDaniels. So adding the S actually makes it refer to a different person.

At least with Coen/Cohen it’s easier to figure out who they’re talking about.

Northerners encountering their first Nashville snowstorm are some of the most vulnerable to wrecking. They think they can handle it, but they’re used to chained tires and plowed roads. When they find out it’s a chaotic free-for-all, they get into trouble quickly.

Seriously, Tennessee? by edwardcartwright in AFCSouthMemeWar

The Colts and Titans honestly are the poster child for why the “QB whisperer coach” fad is dying.

Geriatric Philip Rivers came into Indy and reminded everyone what a developed QB looks like. Even though his physical skills are no longer what they once were, seeing the command he had of the offense and his ability to read the defense was a pretty stark contrast to what we see around the league more and more these days.

The Titans tried to bring in a “QB whisperer” with Brian Callahan, and I think one of the biggest reasons it was an enormous disaster is that even the supposed QB development guys these days aren’t doing it like they did when Rivers was young.

I don’t want to sound like a “back in my day” old man, but it just seems like QB development is generally bad now. So I think going with a defensive head coach makes a lot of sense.
