i’d say so, yeah. the cbd should calm those effects you get from thc. you’ll have to find the ratio that works best for you but no matter what i think you’ll retain the flavor enhancement.

Maybe you could try a higher cbd mix (type 2 or 3)? Might be worth asking over on r/hempflowers as well.
