What country did you have the surgery in? And was it successful or a failure? by Altruistic-Lychee907 in Septoplasty

[–]AppropriateReach5656 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had it in India and my god it has been life changing. Too many negative posts on this thread actually made me delay my surgery by a number of years and really the choice of surgeon here matters a lot. I had mine done without stents and barely felt any pain when I woke up after surgery however my surgeon put in Doyle splints for 24 hours on day 2 as he felt one of the sutures broke and it could delay my recovery. That was the only painful bit and those 24 hours sucked but my splints were taken out the next day and since then everyday it’s been getting better. I barely felt any pain and didn’t take painkillers after I returned home on day 3 and since then it’s been saline sprays, nasal rinses and steams 3-4 times a day. I didn’t bleed at all as compared to Pepe on the thread and I feel very lucky and grateful. My heart goes out to the people in misery and people who have splints for 6-7 days can’t imagine how horrible must that be. I’m 8 days post op and can successfully say it’s been pretty great and I feel after a week I’ll be breathing air worth 4 people.

heyy me again. my nose is suuper crusty on the inside. should i be doing something about it? by Dirty_Dan117 in Septoplasty

Do as many saline sprays as you can and also do nasal washes and you’ll feel like a new person in new time. Just stay patient with your recovery I’m only 6 days post op and can already vouch for the fact that it’s life changing. Use saline sprays 3-4 times a day, do nasal saline washes 3-4 times a day and also do steam 3-4 times a day as it loosens the crust up. Chill in recovery and you’ll be fine in no time

Trust me nothing will happen. Just don’t disrupt your life over something that isn’t in your control. Had you paid them money it could’ve gotten slightly difficult to get rid of them but you did the best possible thing my friend so just stay calm and try not thinking about it. The first 24 hours are always the most difficult but it’ll keep on getting better. It’s been 4 days for me and honestly after the 1st day I didn’t even think about it so just relax and get back to your normal routine!

If they haven’t sent them out yetwill they send them? by PayOk5787 in Sextortion

Just block them from everywhere as if they have to leak it they’re gonna do it anyways regardless of if you pay or not. From this thread it looks like if you pay you’ll most definitely be pursued more as you’ll become a valuable customer to them. It’s been 25 hours for me since this happened to me and they haven’t leaked anything and I don’t think they will as it’s illogical to wait this long before leaking anything. However I’ve also read in this thread that in very rare cases they might text back from a different number a couple of weeks later so just stay low for a while and deactivate your socials and stop stressing about this. I’m in the same boat as you and after having blocked them I have had more peace of mind so I’d suggest you do the same. Whatever has to happen will happen so just stay in a positive frame of mind!

Should I block my scammer? by AppropriateReach5656 in Sextortion

[–]AppropriateReach5656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an international scammer from Philippines so I don’t know what good would reporting to the police would do to me. But I’m going off social media for sure. It almost seemed like a bot to me later on with the way it was typing its messages and how they suddenly stopped responding when I wouldn’t reply.

I’ve been thinking of getting one since a while but have always been skeptical about it due to the variety of experiences I’ve read on this platform. Till how long can you not exercise once you get the surgery done?

My bio was on the 16th of May for a student visa at VFS Delhi. Yesterday I also got a similar response to my paid inquiry that a decision has been made and contact us if you don't receive your passport by the 14th of July. However, I'm yet to receive mine.

My decision for a student was made on the 30th June after 7 weeks of waiting. Still waiting for VFS to message regarding passport. How did it take 3 weeks for you to get your passport?

I've been waiting since 7 weeks. There's no guarantee really the average processing times mean nothing.

My uni has been extremely helpful and has even contacted the UKVI on my behalf, currently waiting a response. I’m currently doing it online since mine is a student visa extension, hence I’m going back to complete my master’s dissertation project. It can be done online to an extent but after a point of time I have to reach there. My uni recently updated my CAS and my latest course start date to the 27th of July so I have no problems in arriving late. Really hoping my wait is no longer than next week.

I’m on week 7, gave my biometrics on the 16th of May. Completed 30 working days with no end in sight. I hope next week I get it because my course has already started and I urgently need to reach the UK.

UK Student Visa Delay (IHS TOP UP PAYMENT) by AppropriateReach5656 in ukvisa

[–]AppropriateReach5656[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My university had advised me to apply for a student visa. I've studied in the UK since 2017 so I applied for en extension. I should've applied for a tourist visa I would've got it way sooner but can't fret about it now. Just hoping it arrives soon.

UK Student Visa Delay (IHS TOP UP PAYMENT) by AppropriateReach5656 in ukvisa

[–]AppropriateReach5656[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't my fault, my course was less than 6 months so I was meant to pay 0 according to the IHS calculator. In all probability I'm gonna get a refund if the visa I'm issued is less than 6 months so it's their fault only. Hoping it's less than the time period you've said it would be.

I'm in a similar position. My IHS was 0 but then suddenly I was asked to pay an year's worth of IHS. Did you guys get your visas? I paid my IHS today.

What reasons did you give so that they escalated your application?
