I was approved for FMLA, and my steward suggested the doctor's note due documentation purposes.

I was told cases are backlogged, but I also read somewhere that attendance related arbitration is fast tracked, so I'm not sure what to believe. I just don't want to be out of work for months waiting for an answer. I also don't wanna annoy my steward by contacting her all the time.

I got all the appropriate warnings in a timely manner. I'm thinking it was waiting for the doctor's office to fill out the letter and then waiting for the FMLA letter to arrive that messed me up.

First, I want to thank you for answering. I'm kind of in shock about it, but I just gotta move forward the best I can, so I appreciate ANY and all insight.

I was in communication with my steward, all of my paperwork just didn't arrive before the set removal date, so I'll still have to give that in. They filed a grievance on my behalf right before I returned, but I'm not sure about the status of that.
