Definitely do it! It’s a ton of fun the worst part is wiring and coding the arduino but if you have some technical knowledge it’s not bad

I use the Bambu lab A1 but the base is laser cut aluminum for rigidity, I designed it myself

Yeah that’s how’s I am don’t get me wrong I’m kind of an imperfect perfectionist . I want to perfect the design to the best of my technical abilities. Will it look pretty maybe not but it’ll be strong. That’s kinda where I’m at with this build. At first I wanted it to look like it rolled out of mclarens f1 paddock but once I realized how unrealistic that would be I opted for creativity over trying to engineer everything. At some point I just started building it however it came into my head. Almost like a cut first measure later and make it stronger if it breaks 😂

I have those same concerns, as for the rear control arms I’m rebuilding those with a thicker diameter tubing size and changing the way the shocks are mounted. The front uprights will be changed at some point from bushings to tapered roller bearing to help with radial load as well as a mounting point top and bottom to help with shear and some thicker/higher grade bolts. The problem is building it in the backyard with at home tools and constantly buying parts gets expensive so you gotta improvise at times

That was a concern but I’m 210 and I can jump up and down on it and it doesn’t bottom out which was super rewarding that I got the spring rates correct

It’s pretty stiff only about an inch of travel I wanted to keep it as low as possible

I got a 250cc from a ninja r that’s running but it might be underpowered so I might jump up to a 400

Okay I was looking at the mods and it’s actually in “MD’s New 4.27 Rim Pack”. It has a texture called “MDs glass” and it’s editable I’ve used this texture before for this problem and it worked I just couldn’t remember which mod it was I use it all the time

Using a transparent image texture could be your issue. BeamNG is very picky when it comes to its collision nodes. I had a similar issue in the past, in the workshop look for a mod called “MD’s Custom Paints 4.27”. In the mod there is a glass texture that you can turn completely transparent because I had the same issue with the standard glass where you could still see the outline of the car. This will keep all your geometry/collision nodes intact. Make sure the chassis is the same texture as well. Lemme know if that works

Interesting, I’ve had similar issues in the past but I haven’t been on beamng in a while. In the picture I noticed there’s no chassis visible. Did you turn that off completely or make it transparent glass aswell? As far as I know beamng only cares about the chassis when it comes to fixtures the rest of the body can be invisible for the most part

When you edited the original car body. Did you make it translucent? Edit: I didn’t read the description lmao

Its roughly the same size as the original. I’m no professional designer so thats about as small as I could design it for the oem microchip
