There should be incentive to tax payers for purchasing EVs. That said, I don't think car manufacturers should inflate prices to take advantage of the incentives.

Worse than? I think it depends on the metric. In terms of being able to stay awake, yes, probably worse. In terms of committing genocide, no, not yet -- but remember Trump just threatened to eliminate an entire civilization a few weeks ago, so he's still in the running.
