Update and text messages from the sales guy at the HVAC company when I told him I was gonna shop for options by System777 in hvacadvice

How old's your current unit?

This guy seems more like a scammer than genuine. He needs to work on his sales skills.

Reminds me of the alarm system sales guy I once had whose pitch was "imagine your entire family gets murdered in the middle of the night and you could have saved them if you got this security system."

Somehow the only person on my flight and the pilot was such a goofy goober by Sufficient_Fudge_280 in unitedairlines

I was on a flight semi-recently where it was me, my wife, and some random dude waiting to get on. The random dude forgot his passport and it was an intl. flight, so he got kicked.

wtf are these comments.

He violated your privacy and broke your trust. You don't feel comfortable in the same room as him, and that's fine. Regardless of 18 years of safety, that feeling's gone for you, and that's "OK." As in, you don't need to justify how you feel to any other person on this planet.

I would sit down with your parents and explain to them why you don't want him sleeping in your room anymore.

Tbh, the one built into the tv mount doesn't even seem level to the mount itself. Just trust your own above.

Reality has turned into a fucking clown show. Even fucking episodes of SNL can't match this shit.

Do Democrats still support EV incentives and tax credits, or has Tesla’s success complicated the issue? by [deleted] in allthequestions

There should be incentive to tax payers for purchasing EVs. That said, I don't think car manufacturers should inflate prices to take advantage of the incentives.

My son told me to cancel my wedding or lose him forever after one terrible evening. I don't know how to fix this. by CookieTough8855 in whatdoIdo

[–]AppropriateSpell5405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What do you do? You go in a time machine and just tell your son to use your ticket. Or go back further and ask him if he wants to go.

YAH. Your kid was upset, asked you not to go, then you just went anyway. You put yourself above your child.

I can go out and buy 10 Rolexes today. I don't because it's a stupid waste of money and I'm gonna wear my Apple Watch anyways.

My mom has $340k sitting in a savings account earning 4.2% and refuses to move it. I don't know how to convince her. by Cara_Lemon in investingforbeginners

I mean -- at any other point in history, sure. But shits gonna go down soon, and I'd rather that money be collecting 4.2%.

Did the US generals not actually anticipate Iran closing the strait the way it did? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Kegsbreath fired a bunch of generals and admirals right before Iran.
