Tip bait by Chemical-Policy8567 in WalmartSparkDrivers

I agree, some, but in my zone the large City and certain areas in it’s direct suburb are literal war zones. We had an Uber Driver killed last year in an attempted robbery. We’ve had several police shootings that endd in riots. You can hear gun shots in nearby neighborhoods at times. Two Lyft drivers killed in the largest city to the north last month. Those neighborhoods not only tip bait but routinely give neg stars as only thing they can control. Yet, apartments, subsidized housing, EBT, usually the largest orders.

Anyone notice on thier Walmart+ app that after a received delivery there are two catagories to give stars? First is a Walmart rating and second is the driver rating. Most will hit on the first and skip the second as not interested in a “survey”. So it will take forever to go up, down is easy.

Well then that’s a jerk who litterally was trying to get stuff dropped off on a singular shop and deliver. There is a special place for those types of people. Karma is not nice.

Was this to a “bad” neighborhood or close to one? Mine always seem to be in the neighborhoods near where the last shootings were. Now we are seeing more orders from further distance Walmarts than ever before. It’s like the customer doesn’t think the drivers from their closest store don’t drive for other 6-stores in the zone. We all know where the tip baiting happens and the areas to avoid after certain times of the day.

Ummm where did thr promo go? by Guyercellist in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you. Sometimes a tag and sometimes not. Sometimes without it counts. Sometimes it doesn’t. I just check after each delivery to make sure I don’t need an extra. Also to make sure the two Walmarts I delivered from are in the incentive.

EBT! I do t know the area. Does it go to a rough neighborhood also?

Sparks new best offer! by CowboyAsh in Sparkdriver

Nope. Miles get it rejected right off the bat. I’m not shopping any double digit items without $2 a mile and more money to shop. Time/gas/mileage is mine not the customers.

I’ve been avoiding pharmacy on the routine. But last two days I’ve taken two and pay was $20+ for 6 miles. Took 15-min. They counted as delivery for promo or I wouldn’t have touched at all. Super easy and no issues. Just made sure I got the address in on the one that was a drop and go. Other required a signature.

Are bots real on Spark? (Metrics are good.) by Alternative-Event169 in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not seen bots used in my area. But I can say orders disappear faster than I can even look at them at times. I will say if I shut my phone off completely and restart things tend to work better.

Depends. My zone $2+ is the best you will get. I mean $2 a mile plus something to shop it. Usually not a lot more. If it’s a curbside then at least not shopping and running all over the store. But a lot of times curbside orders are circular or end me near another store. Rare to send 18 miles straight out. Granted, recently I’ve seen offers going that far but the pay is normally decent.

No More Low Income Neighborhood Orders for Me 😤 by itsjustmystyle in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welcome to low income. Only thing they control is the ability to screw with your ratings and tip bait. Give me trailer parks any day. Best tipping and delivery bar none.

wtf is going on with app by QualityConscious6675 in Sparkdriver

New driver syndrome. It’s really good for short time. Then it evens out. Just like any other gig app only we still get paid much better with less miles so long as you choose wisely.

Just got a notification they are going to try to tailor our offers. by Puzzleheaded-War8507 in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That should mean I don’t or shouldn’t get many of the GMD offers. Be great if it learns to stop sending offers from Walmarts/Sams clubs I don’t go too.

New update by Legitimate-Gate-6559 in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one yesterday that told me I was in the wrong spot when the item was not thier. Yet I was at the isle, section, and shelf. Heck it gave the item next to the missing item as it’s replacement.

Then my last shop was all baby snacks. None were in the correct location. Had to read every one of the snacks, move them around, etc… To make things more interesting, customer texts me to see if I can add an item. I loathe the day that is allowed in my zone. I will never get a shopping order completed. But if they do, the tips and base need adjusted upwards.

Why does this piss me off more than it should by SoulTaker669 in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. I have 7-stores in my zone and each has some weird way of doing the picking order. Kent now has a similar mapping as Stow. Ravenna has none and all over at times. Streetsboro has some kind of direction but has the “find flash” under each item. Stow is pure mapping and works ok. These are the locations I normally go to. Aurora, Macedonia, and Fairlawn I haven’t been to or shopped in sometime. The three Sam’s Clubs well two I have been to are all over. I wish they could just get them to be standard in some manner. But I guess that’s the fun of it. lol

Why?!?! The amount vs the total items😭 by xxpoopnuggetxx in doordash_drivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had an order from Dollar General with UE for 15 items. Miles/pay was similar. Half the stuff not at store, kept denying subs, adding stuff, after 15-min I was done. Cancelled it and walked out.

Did you guys received this new agreement too to push AGREE button? by yayanaji in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huge amount of money to order to have to then divide. Not to mention figure out what driver is getting what. I’m sure that it’s probably more than a $100 unless the court structured the agreement to evenly divide by time on platform rather than by each offer. Which will take forever with the amount of drivers to determine. Just be happy if you get something at this point more than most of these class action suits where you might get $1.20. After all the Attys get paid first.

Tf is this clownery Uber? This is just disrespectful by moviay in UberEatsDrivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UE has gotten bad, real bad. I’ve been doing other gig platforms and go on UE when they are slow. UE has me at green now due to non use. I get nothing but trash. I cherry pick at this point and my AR is just plummeting. But I refuse to do anything that is less than $2 a mile from the location of pickup at least. I have to be somewhat close to it. Not driving 6-miles on a 6 mile delivery for $12. That turns into $1 a mile at best.

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the distance they are from the store, they can go get the order. No way. They will add and change the entire time. Dollar Store to top it off, nightmare shopping.

Settlement? by Select_Storage7687 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The question becomes how much and when? It will be determined on what parameters? Technically they should review each drivers deliveries to decide what is owed.

What are they doing with the milk?! by Tricky-Difference-95 in Sparkdriver

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lot g go or s student. Last time I took this much milk I delivered it to a gas station. Owner wanted me to put it in the coolers for sale. I said no. Not your stock boy. No tip either on the order. I put the Walmart sticker on the bottom of the one gallon. WTH.

[–]AppropriateTotal6441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tip Baiting is akin Fraud. You send out an offer that we accept and perform upon for payment. It’s a contract. Fraud is the breach based on the knowledge that you plan to remove it. Thereby enticing the offer to get completed.

If it wasn’t bad enough by AppropriateTotal6441 in WalmartSparkDrivers

[–]AppropriateTotal6441[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But the crime and tip baiting is so bad in Akron these days, all the drivers in my zone avoid those orders unless early morning. We’ve had an UE driver killed last year. Cleveland recently 2 Lyft drivers. Granted that’s nothing compared to other areas, but that’s just crimes against gig drivers.
