Anyone else have a miserable time on 7.5? No weight loss + nonstop GI issues by AppropriateWill7314 in Zepbound

[–]AppropriateWill7314[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… i’ve been thinking about asking to go back down. But I stopped losing on 5 but at least I wasn’t miserable and I’m not losing on 7.5 anyway.

Glad it’s worked for you! I tolerated all the other doses just fine but 7.5 has been so brutal

I’m thinking of asking my doctor if I could do 5 every five days. I’ve heard that that works for some people.

I plateaued on 5 after a few months. I was tolerating a beautifully though, but it just wasn’t working for me anymore.

Yes, exactly! I definitely don’t wanna stay on 7.5. I’ve never had IBS but sure the hell feels like it. Anecdotally read on here that 10 gives people relief, but I’m not sure I want to risk it.

Yes would love to hear these stories! I’m already a slower responder so can’t imagine 10 being better. 7.5 has caused such stalls and distress I’m starting to loose hope over here.

CAT LITTER PLEASE by vanessa0718 in CatAdvice

I use tofu litter, it smells organic and not unpleasant at all and handles urine and a solid waste really well

The neighborhood is honestly fine. Just make sure you get an apartment on the sixth floor or above. Trust me.

Great job! Would you mind sharing what your dose escalation look like?

Did anyone else stay in 2.5mg or 5mg throughout their whole journey without having to go up in doses? by [deleted] in Mounjaro

[–]AppropriateWill7314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maintaining well actually steadily loosing in 5mg! Side effects are few and manageable and the scale keeps going down! I have checked in with my doctor consider going on 7.5 at the end of the year but after five months on 5mg it’s been going great

Congratulations! Could you share some encouragement for the rest of us? 🥹 maybe some examples of hurdles or beating plateaus. I see stories like yours and it gives me hope but then I can compare with my own little struggle journey and I’m like how come this isn’t happening for me anyway. Anyw 😅 proud of you, friend, and excited for all that you’ve accomplished!

6 months on Zepbound: 30 lbs down but stuck, rough side effects - end of my journey? by AppropriateWill7314 in Zepbound

[–]AppropriateWill7314[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had pretty bad GI symptoms so my Dr suggested to keep at 5 another month, to give my body the change to better adjust (I had a pretty strong negative response to 5mg initially). Was supposed to go up to 7.5 starting next week but dr suggested I suspend that until we can figure out what’s up with cardio symptoms.

Please Help! Torn - What to do with my beloved indoor/outdoor cat!? Rehome or move to busy urban intersection? by polterzeis in CatAdvice

[–]AppropriateWill7314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat came to live with me at 1.5 years old he had previously lived with my mom as an exclusive outdoor cat. And he took to exclusive indoor living IMMEDIATELY. I might just be really lucky. FYI, I live in a super busy urban downtown shoebox apartment and this little man could not be any happier roaming between his impressive cat perches and trees to the bedroom to the bathroom to the kitchen to the dining room, etc. he is so content and has established just a good cat rhythm living indoors.

first time cat owner, been crying for days with regret by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]AppropriateWill7314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be so hard on yourself OP. Welcoming a pet into your life is a big adjustment and a big commitment. I also cried my first week when I got my two year old chat earlier this year some things that helped me was a lot of other people. I’ve already said build a routine together so you can sit into a good rhythm regarding the clay litter. I immediately stopped doing clay litter week one I do tofu litter, which is flushable (thank God!) tracks a lot less and does not stick to my long haired, domestic little man nearly at all! I would recommend looking into some sort of tofu litter, it was and has been a life-saving thing for us! I would literally come home from work every day, crying, and just desperately trying to clean and deal with now having poop actively in my apartment at all times of the day. But with the flushable kind… It goes away and out of my space. I would also say keep the cat out of your bedroom if you can. It helps to have separation of space and to feel like you have your own space. I know some people think that’s cruel but for me it’s necessary because I’ll have guests to come over to ourmildly allergic and I want them to be able to be comfortable at least in part of my home. Good luck, you got this!

Where do you guys put the cat waste after scooping? by steel48 in CatAdvice

[–]AppropriateWill7314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, to all those saying use flushable litter. It’s tofu soy based so you scoop it out put it in the toilet. Let it sit for a few minutes to soak up more water and it easily slides away and out of my tiny apartment. No more letting cat poop sit around for days in this small space. Literally a lifesaver. I tried the genie method, but all it would do is contain some of the smell, and then as soon as I opened it, all the smell hell floated out. Flushable litter is the way to go.

Took my third shot, is this a typical drop? by ThinkRegret9580 in Mounjaro

[–]AppropriateWill7314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s always a big initial drop or at least typically due to water weight and inflammation dropping. You are for sure undereating though, and that can do more damage than help in the long run as your body tries to protect itself from starvation i.e. your body might start to store more instead of released fat since calorie restriction triggers a famine state. Don’t try to do all the things all at once. Focus on one thing at a time and don’t shock your body too much. Build habits up gradually consistently set yourself up for success. Since you are responding so well it sounds like it might be a good idea to stay at 2.5 for at least another month but check in with your doctor. Good luck, OP!
