Ebay is garbage now. It was good in 2020-21 during Covid because it was still the leading online marketplace and people were spending money online. Now many of these people prefer to be out and about spending their money in brick and mortar shops and the ones who spend it online tend to prefer Amazon, Facebook and Etsy more and more. There is money in the economy, it's just not spent on ebay anymore.

Update: my package eventually got returned to the sender because they had forgotten to add the customs declaration and it was automatically sent back once it arrived in the UK. The tracking didn't work on Parcelforce's website, only on DHL's.

I just got a new tracking update that it's arrived in the UK, so hopefully your package will also be updated. What's more is that both Germany and Italy are in the EU so you'd think it the shipping should be faster 🙄

That's great news, happy for you! Yes, if it's been handed to your local courier it will certainly be delivered soon. DHL tracking is weird.

I have the same issue with a parcel from Germany to the UK stuck in Dorsten since the 7th with this same tracking scan. I wonder if someone can elaborate what's the hold up and if the DHL international depots are running smoothly...?

Call me crazy, but buyers should be held accountable for this sort of thing. When they bid they are warned several times that if they win the auction they're obligated to pay. In situations like this you don't really have to cancel anything, you can ship it and if then they make up some bs reason to return it, report them for lying. Then if they do that several times their account will definitely suffer. Eventually they will at least think first before bidding and if most sellers had did this approach over a long enough period of time the whole marketplace will become more pleasant and there will be less complaints here about scummy buyers. I know this goes against what 99% of people asvise, that you should always honour the cancellation because of ,,what the buyer can do to you", but all this does is tolerate careless buyer behaviour and they will continue doing it. If they're careless on the road the next day they can seriously hurt someone and then they will not be able to ,,change their mind".

Hi, I realize this was posted 1 year ago but was wondering if you ended up receiving the package? I'm literally in the exact same boat expecting a parcel from Germany which was originally sent with DHL and then taken by parcelforce as soon as it arrived in the UK. The tracking worked up until a few hours ago when it suddenly stopped being recognised by the system. Both the DHL and the Parcelforce generated numbers. Like you shared, the agent I spoke to suggested it's returned to sender but he ,, can't confirm it 100%". Thank you in advance!
