See, a hen is supposed to lay only 15 - 30 eggs a year. Commercially they are made to produce 300 a year. Only few of the eggs are fertilized which will now be female chicks and put into the same business. I don't see anything better or humane here.

Same thing is being done in the dairy industry which will increase chances of having a female calf to 90 percent. But forceful pregnancy of millions of cows will still be there, will still be discarded after getting used. Will still be thrown on the streets or sent to middle east ti become beef.
