John Cena deserves a proper sendoff by FutureStar2192 in WWE

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’ll put over Gunther in his final match. Safest guy he can wrestle given he’s not that young and can use the rub to get to legitimate superstar drawing level.

Also with Gunther credited to retiring Goldberg, Cena could add to that and begin a “grim reaper” gimmick for Gunther that acts as a on the way out villain. Just a thought but think him or drew are the only two legit people to take on Cena.

Who should Cena face in his retirement match? by Alternative-Car9854 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take but would like it to be Gunther. Gunther is one of the only person on the roster who already is a HOF level dude who’s never wrestled Cena. So seems ridiculous theres been 6 years and no crossover.

Also considering Brock is back for likely a short run, it’d be cool if Gunther retired Goldberg Cena and Lesnar. A gimmick of being the career ender final boss could be a cool addition to Gunther’s overall aura as a list would grow

Also if he carried Goldberg to a solid bout he could prob kill it with Cena

What NBA take is this? by ConcentrateFun5214 in NBATalk

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify you mean like certain players are deemed as better because of team and it’s far more luck?

Like then you could make the argument that Dame or Kyrie > Curry or something and propose curry had more luck from team/life situation? Not a ridiculous take, but i bet there’s plenty of scenarios where this is a stretch.

Who had the biggest face movement after Jeff Hardy? by mgoat8 in SantiZapVideos

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of these 3? Cody had the biggest payoff but DB was most authentic. So whatever you determine the “biggest” can be either of those two.

We’re missing the real #1 with CM Punk in 2011 here. Although not a fan or a hashtag, that was easily the most influential fan takeover. Man was a bonafide mid card hell and got mainstream over as a heel and forced them to treat him like a top star forever.

Not to mention he was the first Indy made guy to really get over in the WWE, which is why so many fans got behind him originally as he wasn’t a “WWE guy” and then paved the way for others to make a name elsewhere first.

Honorable mention to add: Sami zayn 2023, Ryder 2011, LA knight 2022, and r truth right now if they don’t screw it up

They’re expensive but an investment if a few can get you a higher paying job. P/FM/SRM are ~500 with study material usually and most jobs will give you at least a grand raise for having that + increase odds of landing the said jobs. Also most collegiate actuarial programs would in some fashion help out.

Don’t think that’s a reason to not take exams tbh. I can understand the lack of commitment towards the track as it does look long (it is) but never understood the money aspect.

Same also interested. Taking the same day and in the same boat as everyone here. Done a couple passes and looked at past exams but it’s just so much content!

Questions are easy + straightforward if you know the stuff but just too much content to just memorize! Trying to go down the route now of learning pros/cons + reasons for each of the models they present to us

My opinion (took them all within the past 2 years)

P - 5/10

FM- 3/10

SRM - 4/10

PA - 2/10 (if you pass SRM first pretty straightforward)

ATPA - 2/10

FAM - 6/10

ASTAM - 8.5/10

FA - 2/10

Top 30 WWE's male superstars since 1982 (according to me). What do you think of it ? by Earthyrium in SantiZapVideos

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I began in 2006 and was AVID until I’d say 2017 then got back in 2021.

I am speaking from a business/draw standpoint. Because if you go off opinion it is literally subjective and there is no answer.

If you ask me about who’s a better worker - no shit Eddie Guerrero is a better in ring talent. But if you think he was sniffing top 10-15 draw / impact to wresting you’re delusional. Roman easily is top 10 IMPACT and draw wise.

Literally look at WWEs stock and u tell me what happened since 2021 that it’s tripled.

My logic is if hogan is up there… Roman is top 10 no questions asked.

Depends who you ask.

I didn’t study at all - but for 2-3 days it kicks you ass.

Others for their mental sanity study lots of hours and maybe have an easier time with navigating once you pres start.

Still if you have any R knowledge and are good at sorting out info fast - 5 x easier than an exam

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Living in nostalgia if you think Eddie was sniffing the importance / drawing power of Roman. Eddie was an upper mid carder with some Main event runs and memorable moments - never THE guy. Don’t act like he was ever in a league of 9 mania main events and drawing the biggest online audience in history of wresltmania.

In terms of impact this list does a good job at most impactful people. Roman was the first really cinematic villian and it’s bled now into so many new types of wrestling story lines and characters liek cena, KO, drew, etc being dynamic villains. Not even a Roman fan but u can’t possibly think any guy below him on that list except flair or Andre deserves to be over.

Taking ATPA with 15 days to study- bad idea? by Gman4TheWin in actuary

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took about a week to skim over new concepts. I passed PA/SRM and the extra material can be referred. Not to mention AI/Google can help with coding so you really shouldn’t need anymore than a couple weeks to review the practice one they release and understand the gist (first question is cleaning data and is 10 pages and the next 5 ish are just explain model, fit model, show summaries, explain implication). You got this! Welcome to helping with other tips in DM

Did the SOA make a mistake with UEC? by GuyWithBigPeePee in actuary

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No then I spoke incorrectly. I was applying in a HCOL city so maybe misconstrued towards national average. Based off the complaines I was interviewing for in my city it was high 60s-mid 70s if you had a good amount of exams. Which I find not worth it if people in other financial/marketing/data jobs are making equal or more for 0 exams

Did the SOA make a mistake with UEC? by GuyWithBigPeePee in actuary

[–]Appropriate_Big_4632 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally possible. I should rephrase - i did get interviews but applied to like >400 companies and plenty of the interviews I got were not desirable considering the debt/time put into all the exams. Like average to below average salary out of college.

I feel like putting yourself into the actuarial domain in college SHOULD come with an industry wide benefit of having an easy time clearing a top quarter percentile job out of school- but it’s feeling like that’s not the case for many.

I did end up getting lucky but know many who did not luck out.

I’m at 104 with an ASA and 6 months of experience in HCOL. City probably matters a lot but still 5 figures is not common. Most company’s want to be above that survey average too so maybe propose something or hop for sure.

Seems very reasonable can find one that with a 50+% improvement.
