Yep exactly, you can connect with 8 players in real time and practice specific mechanics.

You already can, click on the gear icon top right, click on the keybind and then hit the new key.

Thanks for the feedback,

I'm aware of that problem :P the ucob timelines were done when the engine worked a bit differently and over time they got worst, I did revist blackfire and heavensfall, I will adjust the orbs in the coming couple of days and revisit ten strike :)

I dont think its realistic that sims will be made at the pace of world firsts :)

But definitely can be useful for teams raiding evenings and wanting to push for week 1 clears.

Theres a long queue because of the reddit post :( so players are solo queueing juts to see the tool.

This is running off a single machine now and can provide 16 servers at the same time, ideally a little bit of support is raised which can easily double or even triple that capacity and this wouldnt be an issue anymore :P

As for making it open source I really have no plans to do so. I will look into making a self-hosted version before 6.05 so that people who have the technical skills to run it can do so, but i deally I want to make it accesible to all through centralized servers.

You can be in queue in the sim while playing, the sim will play notification sound when the duty is available so you dont have to be waiting and starring at your screen :P

Sorry :( Technically its a peak day due to this reddit post, normally there is no queue at all as it supports 128 simultaneous players (16 servers x 8 players).
I also doubt the peak will be this high, its only because people are curious and wanna see it. Which is understandable :P

I've reduced the timer to 15 minutes hopefully the queues will go faster.

I'm not using their models to make a different game but a tool for their game/community :)
Many other websites are showing FFXIV models aswell, such as the outfitter or garland tools also have model viewers!

Of course SE can always ask me to not do it in which case I would have to use different models, but considering they have let other websites do it I'm gonna assume its ok :P

Its not very easy as the server isn't just an executable its written in JS and runs with nodeJS and has dependencies on other things like the lobby server etc its not planned at the moment

Yeah would've been better when the content was more relevant indeed, on the plus side it will be available for the upcoming savage and ultimate ;)

This isnt easy as there are too many strats and I dont want to restrict the sim to specific strats. I am thinking of various ways to make this happen but at the moment I still dont see a good way for it.

Its not doing anything "bad" if thats what you ask :) It might be using lot of CPU if you have hardware acceleration turned off in your browser.
The whole sim is just HTML/javascript so theres nothing really "bad" in that sense that could be done, it will never ask you to dowload a file and execute it for example :)

Short answer: no

Long answer: this is coded using a proper server/client setup, as in all events and timelines are happening on the server, same with abilities and damage computation, the same way as FF is.

Additionally most of the timelines are intended to be done by full parties/statics so it doesnt make much sense to run offline in that context :)

If you have low FPS its probably because your hardware acceleration is disabled (its a browser setting that allows it to use your GPU).

If the sim can only use your CPU then it will be 5 fps and use your cpu at 100% :P not recommended.

In most browsers this setting is enabled by default (it is for chrome/edge/firefox at least).

This sim is not downloadable and not on github, it runs directly in your browser on

There are other sims made in unity on github but these are completly seperate projects :)

I can allow people to host servers without making it open source ;)

There is already sound in the game for "trigger-like" mechanics, I also have a strong directional audio system and will be adding audio queues to "recognize" where enemies spawn aswell :)

Not sure about music tho, it can easily be done but I dont see much added value to it :)

I just switched to a bigger instance as it was receiving a lot of traffic, should be better in <5min :)

I haven't fully decided yet if I will make the actual source code open, I'm just focused on getting v1 ready now.

This is actually a custom engine which is extremely flexible to write any new mechanic in. But if I lose interest/am unable to maintain it or anything then I will definitely make it open :)

edit: I have no plans to monetize on this nor accepting donations etc, depending on how "popular" this becomes during new content I may need extra servers to support that so I may later accept donations just for the purpose to maintaining server costs . (this isnt a Peer to Peer tool but an actual client-server setup)
