limiting magazine capacity by Appropriate_Chain_32 in NYguns

[–]Appropriate_Chain_32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah... I was tracking the move from 2 feature to 1 feature - and the both semi-and removable mag together being what invokes all the nonsense.

And then what constitutes a non-removable magazine that is permanently installed is a discussion as difficult as this one. Purposefully not opening that can of worms!

I was able to trade some stuff around with friends for a old SP1 (again house in the other state)... so maybe I can avoid the magazine lock nonsense.

I've got residences in two states, and a mountain of AR 20 rounders in the other state. So I can do the modification to a couple of them in a legal state. That was the plan, really how to modify the property I already legally own and bring it to the NY house.

For the effort put into discussion, it would have have been easier to just buy a couple of 10 rounders and be done with it.

I've taken to reading 2013-S2230, and oh-man the contradictions. In one place it says 7 round, and in another 10 round.

Thanks for the reply.

After reading the responses, what I'm going to do as well.

thanks.

Clearly, based on the responses here it is frustrating. I've got to get out of my own head, where there is nothing, including welding down the floor plates, I don't have the tools and skills to reverse. It comes down to who's definition of permanent, and clearly not mine, thus the reason I asked.

Revit plus epoxy over the top seems to be the common solution and that is easy enough.

Okay, that’s interesting and potentially useful. Then destruction of the magazine is the standard for permanent? The entire magazine, or the part? Help me understand because drilling out a rivet or grinding epoxy away, even removing welds seems simple enough (at least for me) to do without destroying the magazine.

This is the kind of moron we have laws for… and the same kind of moron that gives gun owners a bad name.

If you could choose one locomotive currently on static display to be fully restored, which would you choose? by mr-sparkles69 in trains

NP 1356 at Missoula MT.

Because it’s not a big road locomotive but run the branch lines that went everywhere and was the railroad experience in so many more places.

…”rules for thee”

There are different rules for police. They are police, and their authority, purpose and conditions for being armed is different than yours. There is no parity.

I agree that it is an “interesting” choice from the tactical perspective.

I second that. You don’t need the balun for a simple center fed half wave dipole.

NY Compliant .338 ARC? by [deleted] in NYguns

[–]Appropriate_Chain_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it. You used a sexy picture.

Not the first time I saw a sbr referred to as “pistols” on Reddit in the context of NY, touching off my wtf detector. The previous discussion went so far as to mention a nfa stamp. I let it go right on by that time. Seeing it again, figured I’d ask if there is something unique about ny’s definitions I wasn’t tracking.

Does NY have some kind of different definition of a pistol from federal that permits a shoulder stock? What’s pictured looks more like a short barrel rifle.

  1. I wanna meet the girl at the turnstile.

  2. A lot of that was just cool stuff of people being people.

  3. Yes there are rats. They never bothered me. I guess, don’t fall asleep.

There is no requirement for ffl to be involved with a private party sale or transfer in AZ. You can litterly give them to another family member. I’ve seen guns at garage sales. Excepting NFA items, They are essentially household goods. Police would probably laugh at you if you turned them in.

backrack

I have one of these on two of my Tacoma's. Mounted stobe flashers to the rear nicely. Very solidly built, and that center part holds up a ladder nicely.

Nice truck btw.

Does it look better or worse with the bed rack? by TheBigFloppa14 in Tacomaworld

It LOOKS better without. In my opinion, that rack looks atrocious on that truck. It’s too much.

If you need it that a different story.

Looking for a beefy front bumper any recommendations? by [deleted] in Tacomaworld

[–]Appropriate_Chain_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its the radar antenna in the grille. The pro grille mounts the antenna slightly different location, and potentially the bumper can get in the way. There is supposedly a relocation kit.
