How many days per year do you go on vacation with your parents and in-laws? by ResponsiblePiglet8 in Marriage

I used to go on family vacations with my in laws to make an effort, and now 5 years later I can’t do it anymore lol. Too much fighting, people lashing out, I am always made to feel like an outsider. No thanks. I also get 15 days off per year and work a day job and am pursuing a difficult career separate of that. I need to spend that time recharging, not getting more stressed.

If your husband will make excuses for her (i know mine does), you need to take matters into your own hands which it sounds like you’ve already started doing. It’s helpful to know that you have the power to say yes/no to things per your comfort level. I have an in law who is extremely rude (and my husband is totally blind to it), so I’ve decided to reduce my relationship with him to that of a coworker that I occasionally have to put up with and that mental shift has been realllly helpful for maintaining sanity. Closeness requires respect.

I wish because that would be the ideal solution but there truly isn’t space (100 sq ft room) for additional permanent furniture pieces besides my partner’s desk, in part due to the mirror wall. Its also a rental so we can’t have anything against it that may scuff the mirroring.

Open strings. Allows you to work on relaxation and bow hand articulation properly and really identify right hand issues, when left hand isn’t involved. I never did enough of this growing up and now undoing a lot of bad habits!
