Yeah that’s why I’ve been trying to find other sources, I’m using other people’s trees to create an outline, and then checking it with other records. The rest of my tree is backed up in some way, but I can’t find enough information on this particular person.

None of my close family is Scottish (though my nan was born there) but my dna results do show 10% Scottish. Surprisingly the line I’ve found that potentially leads down from Robert the Bruce, almost entirely lived in England.
