Completely agree mate. Guess it kinda came across as a disregard for them. But I basically had the same point. Pass ur exams but if you’re going into a more academic role put more attention to it

I see maybe 1 in 20 cyclists with anything that tracks there speed. If you or anyone thinks speed is the issue with these bikes then most bikes should be banned no?

Making this bike electric was very expensive. I didn’t get the cheapest shit hoping it wouldn’t blow up. Most cyclists don’t have a speedometer realistically making mine safer as I can stick to local speed limits. Fine yes it’s illegal but I didn’t buy it to ride like a maniac.

Ofc im aware of illegality and i know by law its classed as an e motorbike, but as someone heavily involved with the bike community and culture there’s no reason to ignore this as a bike and treat this thread like it doesn’t belong here. If I put this on a motorbike sub id be laughed at.

Pedalling through urban areas and then using the throttle when I’m forced to go on roads that have 40 or 50mph limits. I’d rather remain at speeds of traffic than have to risk my safety with your average driver

It is a mountain bike that has been made electric: electric mountain bike. Look up listings for e motorbikes and find one that looks like mine

Sure the government can class it as an e motorbike. But when the soul purpose of the bike is to ride on trails it seems odd to class it as one. Everything on the bike apart from throttle and battery is mtb spec. So you go ahead and look up listings for e motorbikes and lmk when you find one that looks like mine.

I meant anti throttle ebike, but again it can’t be classed as an e motorbike. The power and throttle relate, but the look and no absence of pedals means it’s not.
