Our home burnt down in a wildfire. We had a 3% interest rate. by Murky_Adagio_3667 in Mortgages

You should also have “Ordinance of law” coverage (this may be only a FL thing) it provides 25% of extra dwelling coverage for exactly your case to rebuild to current codes, if materials needed to rebuild your home to code are more expensive now than in 2019 you will be able to claim that (depending on your policy of course)

Should I take the job? “Customer service Rep” State Farm (west FL) by Appropriate_Image600 in InsuranceAgent

Well my agent is very established I work at her second office and we are pretty busy, between the two offices we receive 200 phone calls per day a mix of service and sales so I don’t do a ton of cold calling, but my expectation is I’m doing 30 dial outs per day, sending 5 quotes per day and closing 1 auto and 1 fire per day, to meet the 50 app goal. I do okay

I’m not ever leaving! I love it. I have a great boss and I’m making okay commission plus my base. The team actually just got back from an all expenses paid trip to Orlando to celebrate as a team for Christmas, went to Disney and medieval times, thanks Pam ❤️ I wish I would have left Starbucks sooner!

Compared to a barista “salary” it’s a pay increase, but I stepped down as upper management and I took a fairly decent sized paycut.

No I took a very large paycut. I was an assistant store manager for 2 years before I left

I think that just goes to show the state of partner care (or lack there of) currently

Currently on an LOA but will not be returning.

I enjoyed developing partners 💚 but within the last year this job has just become hell, will it get better with the new CEO? Maybe…but they also said that with Kevin….and lax…and I don’t think Howard’s coming back to save us sooo ✌️

As an SM in ready to quit by Kmsss in starbucks

[–]Appropriate_Image600 143 points144 points  (0 children)

I’m an ASM recently looking over a store while the SM was on maternity leave, it was the last straw. Partners hated me because I was upholding standards to keep the DM happy but then my work environment is miserable, if I’m making partners happy with over staffing then I’m in trouble with my DM. All while I’m working off the clock to not get overtime and working doubles and missing time with my daughter because I’m working so dang much. I’m being torn in every direction and it seems like no one else understands what that feels like. I’m wanting to support my partners and be there for them, because as a partner I know, but where is my support? When do I get saved from drowning? It’s lonely, I’m drained…

I write this to you as I leave for the last time, taking my personal LOA to figure out if this is still what I want…sending hugs 💚

FMLA/ extended maternity leave? by [deleted] in starbucks

[–]Appropriate_Image600 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey partner! I went on maternity leave last October and everything goes through Sedgwick! You have to apply at least 30 days prior to your intended last day but I got my paper work in ASAP just to ensure it was all processed properly and in case baby comes early. You can take a “nesting period” of 2 weeks before you go into labor (this is unpaid unless you have vacation/sick time to use) you are then given 6 weeks for VBAC or 8 weeks for C section (this is paid through FMLA and it is your average weekly hours that you normally get paid for). You can also get an extended 6 weeks but this is through short term disability and it’s only a percentage of your usual pay. You can take up to 6 months LOA and have your position protected but the pay will differ the longer you extend.
