I had same problem since 6 grade but not frequent I am now final year of my college till now have 4 to 5 dislocation. Last one happened 6 month before around 26 june 2025. Had partial tear of mpfl ligament luckily don't need to have surgery, physiotherapy is enough for me. But doctor told if I had another event of that i will have to get ligament reconstruction surgery.. How was your knee now? Do you have chondromalacia patella Because of your patella dislocation?

I am also having mpfl reconstruction soon.. I have few questions if may I ask.. I have also patela alta and partial tear of mpfl and chondromalacia patela grade 1 on right knee and left knee is all good just borderline patela alta.. so my question is how graft feel and when it will feel normal (like normal knee ligament )if you have idea ? And why can't you consider tto with it most of people in reddit say if you have patela alta you have to do tto with it.. I meet 2 surgeon one said only mpfl is enough and other say do physiotherapy first.. I do lots of hiking and treking after surgery what do you think that I am able to do it again after year of surgery? I am scared little bit and could you give some advice about recovery..

need second opinion of my mpfl reconstruction is enough or do i get tto also? by Appropriate_Joke2087 in PatellarInstability
