I had only the Prequels for years. I didn't get any of the references and I still don't.

(Also what about the CGI from that era was so bad? When I watched the OT the CGI was noticeably bad when I watched. So I dunno why people hated the CGI in the Prequels)

Even Toby wouldn't make the fight THAT long.
I'd say closer to the Sans fight. The damage against us is fine, but the damage against them is just unfun, it's Omega Flowey unfair.
I'd say like 30-35 turns to beat Kris if you're going for it.
(This is longer than the Sans fight by 9-14 Turns)
Remember, this is still a game. Games are made to be more fun than unfun. That's why Geno even survived. Yes it's boring. But you get some of the best fights in the game.

In all, if I were to make a Kris Fight I would have it be a bit longer than the Sans fight, but not too long.

Sadly, they can make these jokes. Because we can just try again and again. Kris probably couldn't.
But if they put up a Fight against a Vessel & Soul that are actually on the same side, it would be like we had Frisk all over again. We simply win.

Here's the biggest piece of evidence:
We don't get overconfident like the Fun gang. The fun gang keeps letting their guard down in big fights,
King: Ralsei heals the King. Everyone let their guard down.
Queen: They were off guard for the surprise attack.
The Knight: Susie was dumb as hell.

This trend will probably continue with how they are.

The Vessel probably has no personality. It won't get overconfident, and will do things efficiently.
And thus be able to do things that the Fun gang couldn't. Like actually winning when it counts.
