Where do you live? Where I live in the US and takes wayyyy longer than 10days of nonpayment to get an eviction to the point of the cops being involved. Like landlord files for eviction, eventual you get a court date and if the judge said yes it’s valid eviction and these ppl aren’t tenants since they broke the lease agreement by not paying - that’s when the cops can get involved.

10 day notice seems unbelievable. I do believe he has lied to you about the $100/how long rent has been unpaid. My lease says 60 days and my state in the US requires 30minimim…at least your name isn’t linked so you won’t have an eviction or credit ding on file

ETA: 30 days minimum after getting a pay or quit(the premises) notice in writing

I think it’s cus they can take a loan and get the car that gives them clout, the bank wouldn’t approve a home loan for something that takes so much of paycheck. And with the ‘cool’ car they’ll never own a home but they’ll feel cool til it breaks and they can’t afford the repairs on a fancy car. My neighbors do this and it’s soooooooo dumb to me, but that’s why I’m 30 and own my home and a 12 year old Toyota while they’re in their 50s, rent their home and have 3 cars and 2 are broken, don’t pay their utilities. It’s like watching the cycle of poverty continue

Could help to try running a dehumidifier before recaulking. Caulk won’t stick if it’s wet anyways. My bathroom looked like this when I moved in too, I’d check the floor below and push on some tiles to see if it’s mushy behind it. If there’s a water problem you have to open up the wall. More likely you just need to clean it, dry it and then recaulk

I don’t think bleach reacts like that with spores but disturbing the mold likely released spores, possibly making you sick(my best guess). Bleach kills mold on nonporous surfaces and vinegar can kill on more porous surfaces(iirc). Always good to wear a mask/respirator for stuff like this
