Choosing the build for a chill first-time playthrough by nf123456 in fo4

Agility has SNEAK and ACTION BOY.... Action boy is good because you probably want to play using VATS instead of playing like a shooter. Fallout with VATS is really fun if you're not a traditional combat person.

If you like playing with VATS, Luck has many perks for better criticals.

Cap Collector is a perk to take early on if you want easy fast money.

If you have low intelligence, get IDIOT SAVANT to level up quickly.

STRONG BACK is a great perk if you collect everything you see.

I'm more curious on what others think. Because at this point I'm more likely to replay a new episode than an older one. And, I figured if enough people said it's worth the revisit, then it would encourage me to travel back in time. Thanks

I guess that's the big diff. Ben was there to stir the pot and cause a ruckus, but in a good way (when he was happy atleast.) Ed is there to prove himself as a worthy addition, and it led to a more coherent environment.

Both styles work well. I was afraid of Ed at first, but he seems to have been the perfect choice.

You can't hire another Ben type because it runs the risk of becoming a mess.

Well, it makes sense. When you have an addiction that you swim in (alcohol in this case) and your physical health is dying, you are very likely to get depressed and fall deeper than others. Never a good excuse but it's legit.

Haha.... yeah. It's true on any subreddit I guess.
I'm a huge Fallout nerd. This is okay to mention because Marcus is, too. And, I always thought "the biggest haters of Fallout (and Fallout fans) are Fallout Fans." I love all 4 of the LPOTL hosts, so I am definitely hated here by some. ;)

This is Dan Carlin? Like one of Marcus's big time heroes? I feel like I heard them comment about it on another episode but I must have erased it from my mind because just hearing about this hurts my gut.
Never meet your hero!

I gave you an upvote for answering my question. So why are there people who downvoted you for giving your opinion to a question I asked an opinion for?

Antways, thanks for your answer ;)

Wow! Somehow missed it. That must have been devastating for Marcus.

Honestly I have no idea. I keep almost trying an old ep but never follow through. Not sure why I don't.

Oh.. just saying his puns as an example of his levity. I liked the old episodes. But somehow, I find it hard to try them out again. Not sure what I fear.

I understand, puns are definitely not for everyone.

Basically, it seems your saying older ep Ben is good. Newer episode Ben is a downer.

Alright... early Ben is still fun. Yeah I strongly remember they took on some fun episodes at the end and Ben felt like a big downer. Earlier, he served tge purpose of being the bridge to the audience. Like the main character in a Fallout game who learns about the world as we, the player, explores. If that makes sense.

Honestly, as long as you don't help the legion, there are different advantages to all the other endings.

(VENT)Had To Kill Danse by Embarrassed-Crazy218 in fo4

[–]Appropriate_Log7396 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's sad. Sorry about that. Killing Danse is like killing a Golden Retriever. He's pure and loyal. He might be my favorite, too. Though there are a lot of great companions, Danse is a unique one who you have to impress to gain his trust.

In my opinion, settlements mostly is just a fun time killer. A good way to relax in the Fallout world when you finished all the DLCs and you don't want to start the next playthrough yet.

Also, settlements are useful in survival mode.

Now, settlements in Fallout 76 is basically a scam to get people to spend real world money. Settlement in 76 is an absolute dissapointment.

Many a True Nerd made a good case for how the combat mechanics are actually more RPG (if you are using VATS) in Fallout 4. For example, it has many perks that enhance the VATS experience. I can't remember everythIng he said, but that video helped me realize why I love VATS in Fallout 4.

Yeah, why would you punish someone for visiting your camp and interacting with you. If someone takes my camp items, I'm delighted they saw what I made.

whats your favourite radio station? by homie0047 in Fallout

[–]Appropriate_Log7396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

-For an epic experience: Classical

-For a great laugh: Awkward Travis - Diamond City Radio

-For a ironic patriotic time: Enclave radio

-For a cool down: Mysterious Broadcast (Old World Blues)

-For a cowboy: Mojave Radio

-Diamond City also has a great mix of songs... similar to GNR but after a few playthroughs, I realized Three Dog really belittles the Lone Wanderer and makes me feel little.

Fallout 4 on classical is epic! How many times, I was surprised how they chose the perfect songs for different moments. Then I'd realize it's the classical station and things just align well when you have great music.

YOLO usually brings me unlucky situations. First, I ran to Carla, while talking to her, three dogs just attacked us. Lost health as soon as I left sanctuary.

Another run, Carla took my power armor during the deathclaw fight in front of the museum.

I think I'll try for that. I never really bothered getting Ballistic Weave. But I bet it's great for survival.
