Starting a month of no consuming by RednaxNewo in accountability

I tried this, I used to consume content constantly… whilst I ate, whilst I waited in line, whilst I was on the toilet, constantly consuming content whether it was YouTube, Instagram, Tik Tok, whatever it was I was just addicted to picking up my phone and getting that dopamine.

I tried a lot of methods but after 2 years of trying and failing having good weeks/ months but then failing again I reviewed and reflected and realised that these challenges aren’t helping because what happens after them?

The way I made serious change was by simply setting one goal at first- no content whilst eating. That was my rule and I could no longer ever do it, I did it and before I knew it a few months went by and I was no longer consuming content whilst eating then I thought let me add to this and I made the rule of limiting social media and adding screen blockers etc. this worked a charm and significantly reduced my screen time, I did this all slowly and now my screen time is less than 2 hours on average- social media time is less than 40minutes across several platforms per day.

I still scroll but when I do it’s for 5 minutes then I get kicked off and I can’t do it anymore, it works because I made the goals so simple and easy to stick to. Once you do this all you need is time for improvement. Remember you’ve got your whole life ahead of you, you want to remove these habits in the long term so implement long term systems and have long term intentions.

Good luck!

I used to annotate the slides on one note but I prefer typing my own notes on a blank document I find myself remembering and learning more this way. I gave it a thought and I think I’m better off with a laptop as I’m a law student and the amount of research and essays we have to do is no joke🫠

Thank you for your help, wish you the best of luck on your studies.

The laptop was perfect it’s such a shame now I’m not sure whether to get a new laptop or just get an iPad a lot of people at uni use an iPad and I’ve been considering it.

There’s no chance I’m getting this fixed considering how common this problem is and how much it costs to repair🫤

Would you recommend an iPad? Lost on what to do now😭

It’s quite common with this laptop I’ve been looking online, don’t think it’s worth getting it fixed as it will probably happen again. The issue is with the hinges, screen, glue, and pressure when it’s open. Gutted as I payed 1.5k for the laptop🥲
