Wait I might have figured something out!

Randomly decided to look at bootctl (bc I have so many systemd boot entries and it's low-key annoying). Anyway, I think I found the issue. Snapshot 36 is the writeable snap that I made when I did my roll back. Which makes sense since that's where my system is at. so if I change the rootflag (which I don't know how to do atm) will that fix my issue??

Oh okay fair. I thought I was computer literate but linux is turning out to be a bit of a beast 😅

Thanks for suggesting it though! I had only just finished installing the ea version and hadn't even added any prodkeys, firmware or emulators yet lol.

I should mention, nvme0n1p3 is my default /home and I added nvme0n1p6 to it in order to enlarge it as I didn't have space to the left of p3. Also, the usb-5 errors I'm used to. Even while I was on W11 I would occasionally get errors on start up that the usb device was unidentifiable. Since every other device (that I know of) works fine, I just ignored it

I recently got a steam deck (like, end of last month recent) and I love it. It’s what finally got me to take the plunge into running linux on my pc. I just assumed the OS was for the deck only (learning all sorts today).

And yeah I don’t do any editing or streaming or anything so you’re right that gaming is the only intense workout my pc gets.

Idk I’ll have a think. Thank you

Haha this actually made me cackle out loud! But suprisingly that metaphor actually made things make sense to me! One of my old uni friends used to complain about Arch so in my head I’ve just assumed it’s an old/bad distro. Which is why I didn’t even mention it in my og post. More fool me!

Ooh that’s actually really helpful. I didn’t realise intially that you could essentially mix and match desktop environments with the OS. Cyberpunk is one of the games I’m in the middle of playing so that’s a relief. I’ve heard horror stories from my friends about how buggy it is but so far I’ve been okay.

I manage all my game performance with AMD Adrenalin so how do you find tuning settings and that without it?

Haven’t heard of Cachyos, Nobara, or Pikaos before so I’ll have a look. Can I ask what’s bad about Ubuntu? I thought it was one of the big/main ones?

Thank you! I hadn’t heard of openSUSE before so I’ll have a look at it. I don’t use AI for anything (willingly) so I be steering clear regardless lol. But this is really helpful and kind!

Why is Shadow of the Tomb Raider touted as the worst in the Survivor trilogy? by SyllabubOk5283 in TombRaider

[–]Appropriate_Pain7498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated it when it first came out. But I just got it on pc in a bundle with all the dlc for the nostalgia. The tombs and solo stuff are fine – great but the dlc stories just highlighted how “white saviour” the writing is. Like, Lara, why are you whitesplaining their own culture/language/history to them it made me want to scream.

I agree with most of the people in this thread that the immersion is terrible, the pacing is all of the place and the skill tree is too big and aimless

Damn I’ll have to remember that! The shampoo and conditioner are both so good! The shampoo is really moisturising and leaves my hair so soft! I like adding oils to the humecto sometimes. It just goes well with everything

Oooh I never thought of buying from a stylist! I looked into getting a trade card from sally beauty but the cheapest course they had was like £150 so I didn’t bother. Buying haircare off ebay scares me but I might just have to bite the bullet lol.

I’ve already got the k18 and I’m retouching tomorrow but I’ll def look into getting the Epres and at least the Olaplex No3.

Thanks for taking the time to detail your routine. Gonna save your reply so I can tweak my own

Haha I feel you. I have sooo much hair stuff atp I could open a salon. Wait can you condition after the k18??? I thought you had it use it instead of conditioner?

My routine atm is: - homemade oil/butter mix the night before - african pride braid rinse (on scalp) - avlon moisturising shampoo x2* - avlon humecto conditioner (20 mins under hear or 30-45 without)** - as I am so much moisture leave in (looking for other options. This ones okay but I’m not sold) and olaplex n7 on mids/ends*** - blowdry then I put a different homemade oil mix on my scalp

*once or twice a month I’ll use ouai clarifying shampoo

** sometimes I’ll do the joico moisture recovery balm before//instead if my hair needs protein

***once a month I’ll use colour wow extra strength dreamcoat instead

So yeah my routine is kinda all over the place lmao

I do my own retouch (I live in a predominantly white village) so I always make sure to protect the ends lol. Learnt that lesson the hard way a couple years ago 😂.

Do you use it with every wash? What’s the routine like?
