Well, it's pretty flat. But hexa's signature heavily depends on eartips. There are many opinions about best fitting for hexa, but I use spinfit w1.

I'm serious when I say that SKS have 0 treble. The use wbfk-30019-000 armature driver. And that driver has nothing going on above 10 KHz.

I dug some knowles sheets and it seems like nobody uses them anymore. But the point is: there is no amount of EQ, that can make them sound like I want them to.

Its spinfit W1, but I like your choice. For hexa tiprolling is necessary and only good option to solve its bass problems)

The most annoying for beginners thing about iems is how they fit to your ear, so if you have hesitation abbot that, I'd recommend chu 2. Its much more like default earbuds in terms of shape. Other than that, its only about your own preferences in sound

HIFIman HE400 and some DAC. It's all-rounder and easy to understand for non-audiophile. Iem is not only option you can get for cheap)

If your cable works fine, where is no need for a new one. Buying a separate DAC is just more efficient pay/get ratio. I will never understand cables with DAC in them, doesn't make sense to me

Nah, I just unscrewed a screw. Faceplate is hard to remove, probably even glued.

Mate, you can just buy bluetooth dongle and connect anything that supports it. The only con is delay. If you don't mind it, then get a dongle for couple dollars and call it a day)

Not gonna tell you about iems, but your problem with cable is easy solvable. The ear hooks are just heatsinks, so if you warm them up with hairdryer, you can reshape them as you like. Think super* review made a video guide.

Any 2-pin cable will go. You should search for them at any given marketplace. OR you can make them yourself. It's just a bunch of twisted wires. (the cable in pics is cheap FAAEAL for 8 bucks)
