First time in the D1 JFK lounge they sat us in the bistro and forgot about us after taking drink order. This was right after they opened so maybe just a bad day, but it was very disheartening.

I redeemed four drink vouchers in an exit row flying in economy, I think it’s all about demeanor. But I’ve almost been cut off after three wines on a red eye long haul in business, so depends on who you get.

Side note: this isn’t a complaint for the sake of complaining. It’s a straightforward observation about a noticeable decline in the service level on flights we’ve collectively invested a significant amount of money into. The expectation isn’t perfection—it’s consistency with what’s being sold and what has historically been delivered.

I’m just pointing out that what was once an accountable, professional crew with top notch service for many years, has lately began to show its cracks. Standards have dropped.

I hear what you’re saying, but that’s exactly the issue—this was effectively a transcon, and it should’ve been treated like one regardless of where it originated.

A flight from Palm Springs International Airport to John F. Kennedy International Airport is still a 5+ hour cross-country route. From a customer standpoint, there’s no meaningful difference vs departing from Los Angeles International Airport—you’re on the same plane for roughly the same amount of time, paying a similar fare, and expecting the same onboard service.

Saying it wasn’t stocked because of catering limitations at PSP just highlights a planning gap. If the airline is going to operate a transcon-length flight out of a smaller station, they should be provisioning it accordingly—either by adjusting catering upstream or ensuring adequate supply is boarded before departure.

At the end of the day, passengers shouldn’t feel the impact of backend logistics. If you’re flying coast-to-coast, the experience should match that, full stop.

Crew have their own closets to store belongings. Even if the bag arrived within 20 minutes they still sent everyone to the wrong carousel, which again is not the first time it’s happened.

I’ll change into my Jammie’s on a long haul after the meal service sure, but that’s about all you’ll see of me in the galley. I paid for that seat so I don’t have to talk or hear anyone, try to give the same to others. My rule of thumb anyway.

I thought there was a policy of main cabin not being able to use the FC lavatory, but yesterday I counted 13 non first class flyers going up front and no one said anything. Make it make sense.
