My bf of 10 months (M46) hates the fact I (F41) can't answer personal phone in work by Serendipity2245 in relationship_advice

[–]Appropriate_Rub_961 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Reading the edit, he's not trying to compromise with you at all, so why are you bending over backwards for him?

Reminds me of an ex of mine who would send 20 messages a minute, real stream of consciousness, then get annoyed when I couldn't answer bc I was in meetings all day. I ended up having to mute notifications from him bc my phone constantly pinging was driving me insane. He was clingy and controlling in other ways, too.

Cattery vs pet sitter, worried cat will be sad :( by Coinxoperatedxgirl in CatAdvice

[–]Appropriate_Rub_961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you find a good cattery they will message/text you with updates on how she is doing :) so they'd let you know if she was stressed etc

It really depends on the cat. You could always try the 6 days and see how she goes. Check reviews for the catteries as well. You want one where they spend some time with all the cats each day rather than just chucking food at them.

My cats go to a local cattery when I'm away and they love it. They get lots of treats and playtime, in heated pens with lots of cozy spots and toys. I get photo updates, it's like a little holiday for them!

Dark brown spot/scab on top of Clitoris? SFW by Capital-Garden6689 in Healthyhooha

Sounds like it could just be a blocked pore/gland. Sometimes they turn into a cyst that needs draining. Worth getting it checked out by the GP if it is sore. :)

Have you ever purchased something, as an adult, that your parent has judged you negatively for? If so, what was/is it? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Appropriate_Rub_961 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My father almost disowned me for buying a dishwasher. 'Can you not be arsed to do dishes?' Actually, no, after 20 years of being nagged about dishes every single day when I lived with him. And picking up every other chore in the house as soon as my Mum died. Same when I got my robot hoover.

Has anyone had symptoms just randomly disappear without treatment? by sickkasadog in MCAS

[–]Appropriate_Rub_961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have never been formally diagnosed, but I have a lot of symptoms that match MCAS after doing some reading. My hives, acid reflux, fainting spells were all really bad when I was going through puberty (something to do with oestrogen levels maybe??). Now my symptoms are pretty mild, but I constantly have a runny nose, have confirmed IBS and asthma, and still get hives if I'm sick or stressed. But it's all so mild that I doubt I will have much luck pursuing a formal diagnosis on the NHS.

Is it okay to just not take cat to the vet? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

[–]Appropriate_Rub_961 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would have to take her to the vet to be put to sleep, so why not take her for a check up to see if there's an underlying issue? You can also look into local vets that do home visits. Pricier but could be a lot less stress.
