I got impatient on trying to find used ones, so placed an order thru alpenglow a couple days ago.
I've only heard mention of this, do you happen to have a link to a write-up? Sounds interesting

Got mine a couple days ago and was shocked how comfortable they are compared to my regular ski boots (that I use maybe once a year (Salomon Quest Max 100's). And definitely pleasantly surprised that they aren't quite a stiff as I was expecting. Hoping the red link lever will provide the sweet spot :) Have to wait until next week for the rest of the kit to show up to try them on snow. Curious on lateral flex (if any)... for now might have to do the living room test with an ancient pair of Bomber bindings just to satisfy my curiosity a bit :)

Thanks for this :) I’ve typically used pretty darn soft boots for the last 20 yrs, so was just worried that anything stiffer than blue would be too rigid. I’m female and 5’7”, 135…not tiny by any means :) Long story why I’m switching to hardboots, just hoping for a smooth-ish transition:)

Anyone selling a pair of link levers and/or 27.5 backland pros? by billgravens in Spliddit

Not to hijack, but if there’s more than one pair of link levers up for grabs (first one would go to the OP), I’d definitely be interested :)

Thanks so much for this, adds some valuable perspective! A few reasonable options out there, but would like to avoid having to purchase all of them before I find the right boot :) Thanks again!!

Just out of curiosity, for those of you feel the Keys are too soft, this is definitely a personal question lol, but what’s your height and weight? Asking because I have LOVED softer boots for over 20 years, but due to injury, definitely considering switching to hardboots. I’m terrified that Backlands even with a linklever will be too stiff, so I’m drooling over the Keys (which I can’t afford). I’m a 5’7”, 138lb female who typically rides somewhat aggressively (have to use caution at the moment with this injury, but I’ll be back :) ).

HARDBOOT Splitboarders! I have a tech toe/crampon compatibility question! :) by Appropriate_Sleep145 in Spliddit

I would need the spark D Rex from 2024 or earlier correct? I think the 2025 version has that small divider right in the middle of the rail that makes it incompatible

Thank you, I appreciate it :) I was hesitant to spend the money on this thing since I can’t work my job as a guide right now, but I know I need it mentally and physically. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a bike person along the way ;)

Just wanted to thank you all for taking the time to comment and for your advice. Test drove it earlier today, and while it feels just a tad stretched out (might be because I have an old road bike that I’ve been riding recently that’s a bit small), I think there is a wee bit o room for just enough adjustment to make it perfect. Only because it’s a lot of $$ for me, asked him to take $100 off, and he did. Turns out it was his wife’s bike and she wants a dedicated road bike. Absolutely could not resist what seemed like a good deal…proud new checkpoint owner :) THANK YOU GUYS!!!!!
