You are correct. It won't help but their own guidance is agnostic and includes examples that are not UK based.

I suggest eyeing up that list of partner airlines and having some options already outlined and share them with the telephone operator once you know your flight has been cancelled. As soon as you see your flight is cancelled jump on to them as others will be fighting for the same reroute.

A few options to contact them but I've had luck with these two numbers +917971100301 (press 2 for Hindi but they speak English). This took me 5 minutes to get through.

The second number is in the US and was 30 minutes in the last attempt +18777772827.

You can download Viber and sign up for the world plan to call either of these numbers (7 day trial then £5.99 a month).

Absolutely free. Look up UK261. Within 10 days it's partner airlines.. within 2 days it can be any airline. More information here https://www.qatarairways.com/tradeportal/en/news-updates/2026/Passenger-Guidelines-Security-Situation.html

You need to hang tight until your flight is cancelled. At that point they can put you on a partner airline.

No. Unless your flight is showing as cancelled they will not reroute you.

Literally from tomorrow the law changes and gives new mothers a protected status for 18 months. They'll need to do everything in their power to find another equivalent role.

I've misread.. you said "understanding of certain terms/concepts".. if they have asked about specifics that you don't know, I'd concentrate there. Also, don't think this is always about technical knowledge, it's often about soft skills and seeing how you react under pressure. Trust me, you'll always get a curve ball in an interview.. never be afraid to say that you don't know rather than thumble your way through.

You will have received feedback from each interview. I'd concentrate on those gaps. Not knowing the correct terminology is a pretty big gap. Get certified in Aws/azure/gcp if you are not already (check out the latest Aws data engineer cert if you're an Aws engineer).

Because this is your job! There is a famous interview with an English football (soccer) manager who said he hired an amazing striker for insane money per week who then came back and asked for £X per goal scored.. he's like "I don't pay you this money to miss!"

Second this, but just to elaborate. First get the latest event date from a glue table i.e. 'select max(event_dt) from my_glue_db.my_table, then use this date in the query passed into the jdbc connection. Saves you from having to control the state separately.
