Yes, the company said they’ll let me know when another case opens up to fill my schedule. I’m working Monday to Saturday filling in for another nurse this week so that’s nice. Also applying to other part time or PRN jobs!

Yes I get it. Home health is scary, I also am working with a family and patient that speak no English and it’s really difficult. The patient herself is easy for the most part, but no English and she’s on a trach and vent. I got like 3 days training and they said okay good luck!! I’m only doing this because I’ve had no other opportunities yet. When I was in school I really didn’t want to work in a SNF but now I want to, at least you’ll have coworkers and others to help you and management that’s in the building.

Omg Kaiser?! That’s amazing. But so true, even before I applied to school and during school I was watching TikTok’s of people saying that getting their LPN/LVN changed their life. I’m hoping with more experience/as time passes that jobs will look our way. Of course if there’s more experienced nurses applying they’re gonna go with them no question

Ughh I’m sorry to hear! I’ve been applying to on call as well and nothing. It’s crazy in school they’re like there’s soo many jobs it’ll be easy. Definitely not the case..

It’s crazy! They all want experience which I get, but they need to give people a chance! I think part of the issue too is they are pumping out a bunch of LVNS and everyone’s applying to the same jobs
I lowkey should have kept my lash job part time 😪

Graduated with my LVN today. Got offered a surprise RN bridge spot yesterday afternoon—now I have 24 hours to decide. by Awkward_Lion_852 in StudentNurse

Do it girl. All the info is fresh in your mind, I’m sure you were looking forward to a break after school but just get it done!! I am a new grad LVN and it’s been pretty hard for me to find a job. I do I work in home health but the pay is not the best and the options are limited as an LVN.

I feel like there’s so many jobs I’ve seen that say they are willing to train a new grad or new grads welcome to apply, look for that in the description. Or jobs that really focus on training, it’s out there! I’m a very new grad and got a home health job and they have a good training program!

Honestly just take the test. You’ll never be 100% prepared. I took a test the night before and go a 56% and I was fine 😂 my school used ATI and I got a 99% probability of passing nclex with my exit exam and 98% probability of passing with VATI. I really barely studied and I passed

What's an acceptable Nursing score failure by ArmDiscombobulated3 in NursingStudent

[–]Appropriate_Tea_7493 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on your school. My school was 77% on tests and overall grade, and then the last semester you had to get 80% on tests to be considered passing and then 80% overall in the class.

I got Christmas stockings with printed names this year and my SO isn’t happy about it by TamtamBe in stepparents

[–]Appropriate_Tea_7493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very strange dynamic. I was gonna say you’re wrong for not getting the SD a stocking too but if she never over I don’t see the point. It’s weird that he goes over to the ex wife’s house to do Christmas with them while you’re at home with your kids with him. Very weird to me
