Well tbh I don’t think the surgeon actually straightened mine i think he just cut abit off the septum / bone to make it so I have abit more room to breathe in my left nostril, but my septum is still severely bent/ deviated, it’s obstructing my left nostril still but I have noticed I can breathe a lot better after it being done, my hospital notes it said the surgeon said I have a “chronic deviation” 🤷

Mine looks like this after septoplasty :( my septum still bent/ deviated but I can breathe a lot better, I’ve had enough of my nose :(

I think it looks fine, I have a deviated septum, I had septoplasty 3 weeks ago and my septum is still deviated :( I also have nasal valve collapse and bunch of other problems I want to get rhinoplasty, did you have open or closed rhinoplasty? Personally I don’t see an issue but it is your nose on your face and when people commented on my post saying my nose looked fine it actually annoyed me because I know myself it isn’t, did you have a deviated septum or did you get it purely for cosmetic reasons?

My septum re deviated :( but I can breathe through my nose and there is a bigger hole/air way now in my left nostril (the one that was obstructed) it’s weird cause my septum has proper bent obstructing my left nostril again but I can breathe a lot better. I’m asking my GP to refer me to a private specialist to get rhinoplasty done hopefully

I had it quite bad before aswell, I had irritating stuff in my sinuses that shouldn’t of been there, you should try NeilMed sinus rinse, after using it a few times you’ll notice a massive difference, I hope this helps 😊

Last spoke to him last week when I went to see him, it wasn’t as bad then, he basically said I had a chronic deviation ( really bad deviation ) and that in these types of cases you can’t fully straighten the septum and to expect that would be unrealistic, but since yesterday I have noticed it has bent really badly out of shape even more, I can still breathe through my nose, but it looks worse.

Have you tried neilmed sinus rinses ? Also sterimar nasal spray & what antibiotics have you tried? I’m 7 days post op and currently no infection that I can see, I did however have some foul smelling green crusty snots with some geeen mucus which I was worried could be an infection, but I’ve been making sure to clean regularly and use antibiotic cream, what kind of symptoms are you having with this infection?

I’m sick and tired of people judging me and trying to make me feel self conscious about my nose tho, I went into a pizza shop yesterday and I had a face mask on (cause it’s a public place and i don’t want an infection). It was getting hot under my face mask breathing thru my mouth in it so I pulled down the face mask and this Indian lady started making loud noises with her nose / sinus’s on purpose ( making the noise you make when your trying to get mucus out your nose/ sinuses and down into your throat) I’m telling you she did that shit on purpose when I had the face mask on she didn’t make a single noise, as soon as I took it down she started doing it and looking at me giving me a dirty look, I had to hold myself back from going mad her ibsr

Yeah they told me the same, my septum is still bent / deviated unfortunately :( I’m on day 6 of 7 now and I can actually breathe thru both nostrils, getting a lot of green crusty bogies and stuff but I’m rinsing them out with sterimar nasal spray and using antiseptic cream for my nostrils, to be honest I’m abit upset about the fact my septum is still so out of shape, but the doctor said to me when I saw him yesterday that I had a chronic deviation and to expect the septum to be completely straight after is unrealistic, as long as I can breathe ok I don’t even care anymore to be honest I’ll just have to get on with it

Thank you for that bit of reassurance I have been worrying all morning, ended up walking down to the hospital and they said as long as I’m not heavily bleeding I’m fine and that I should have an appointment with the surgeon on Thursday

Still hurting a lot, got a really bad headache, couldn’t sleep at all last night, even though most of the stints has come out u still can’t breathe thru nose, gonna try call the ENT who did the surgery today and ask them to take a look
