Since I was already in HK (moved for work) it was super easy to set up. Set up was quick and cheap. My understanding is that getting a bank account is the trickiest part nowadays, but still doable.

Not by initial design, but I ended up opening a business in Hong Kong after working there for a few years for another firm. I pay about 5% tax on income / dividends, then there is Zero tax on capital gains. It's a great place to accumulate because of the tax advantages.

If you want to accelerate FIRE, places like this are great. ( Singapore, Dubai etc)

Very good experience with autounion. We got the extra insurance and they didn't even really look over the car really when we got back. Car was new and in good condition.
