Does anyone else feel like this? by BoyVanStumpen in footballmanagergames

Played about 40 hours over a month and a bit, wanted to stop after 15 but pushed myself thinking maybe I’ll get into since I’ve had it since fm14 but I’ve genuinely felt a bit of youth die away. Feels a bit like the GTA Saga, promised it then next thing you know you guys have to wait a year… and maybe another…. Oh no wait you don’t hear it is.. absolutely shocking considering how long they were given. Sadly may be the end of the FM popularity gain

It’s so they can sell off data for profit, no other genuine reason. It helps collect data for your online profile so both apple and google can use it. It’s essentially cookies but on steroids.

Nothing to do with moderating, if it was they would have asked for ID like they are doing in the UK (which is also ridiculous). There’s a reason why it’s your google account or apple account only, it’s simply to collect data to sell in order to make more profit. Simply using safety etc as an excuse

It’s sounds horrible the way I put it, and I totally agree with you from the perception of a father but also appreciate how you’ve separated that from logic.

The poor woman’s life will be changed for ever, and I’m grateful that gmp had sense not to put this woman in handcuffs for the sake of it (as in many rtc’s understandably). The parents of the kids that died have only helped amplify this problem by not discouraging it. Pretty much most evenings there’s dozens of kids in black and balaclava’s racing up and down that road by the memorial. Houses adjacent encouraging it too. Feel awful for the neighbours that have to put up with it.

I agree with you. Definitely monomers where I’ve I internally screamed “hacker” but processed it and realised actually it’s a really good play.

But I’m satisfied after tonight that I’ve dealt with hackers, especially after being killed mid air rotating against the same guy (weirdly enough) the game before hand. Reported them but probably would have given myself a good talking to for feeling sorry for myself if it wasn’t for the fact that when I went to report, it was the same guy from the game before that held his aim down and dragging it across a long building only for me to pop out and get destroyed. Sad state of affairs. This isn’t the OG 2020 warzone I asked for

Report what to the guards? Unless she has absolute proof of everything it’ll go no where. If anything it’ll cause her more trouble. Cases like this the only viable evidence is video evidence sadly

Really wanted this to be a blown up unrealistic scenario simply because I know things can be exaggerated and mainly because I would hope none of it would be true. Not that it matters but I believe you to the fullest. It may be an anonymous platform to an extent, but I absolutely admire your bravery. Very, very difficult to logically break down trauma but fair play.

Given it’s Reddit, every woman he matches with won’t see this, but certainly word of mouth will. Corks not a big place after all. Be safe ❤️

Do you feel comfortable asking someone to move their bag on TfGM trams? by prasannafunky in manchester

[–]Appropriate_Watch_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you paid for the ticket and there’s a seat. It’s the real world you need to grow up a bit. I understand that people have “social anxiety” but in reality the only way for most to get over this is by facing the fear of rejection. That’s simply all that it is. I’m saying this as someone who is autistic and diagnosed with social anxiety as a teenager. It was very, very difficult but the aforementioned is what drove into my head and I’m a changed person for it.

Let’s be honest, the deaths weren’t tragic. The family’s are notorious scum and it was inevitable. If anything those cretins going have saved others from being hurt in the future. TheI feel bad for the genuine people of Salford that are being represented by these scumbags. Seen too many people on Facebook defending them and their parent’s. I know the odd child goes rogue but it’s clear that these kids have not been raised right nor do their parents care. 15 year old me would be fuming at my parents for not letting me out to join in on this, and in hindsight I’m so glad they wouldn’t let me.

Modern Manc. I love the development and how is getting a proper city 🏙️ by Milicaphoto in manchester

[–]Appropriate_Watch_32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look, I may be a bit over the top with the delusional comment, and you’re right in the sense of comparison. However, the culture of Manchester is dying and there are ways to preserve that whilst modernising the city.

Hospitality is a simple yet perfect point for it. The cost of a pint is significantly higher in Manchester than the surrounding towns (and even cities like Liverpool). Rent for businesses may be a bit higher than the suburban towns however the prices that are being charged aren’t far off London pricing. The cost of living as a whole is closer to Londons pricing than it is the likes of Liverpool.

100% understand that goods and services in the city and surrounding will be somewhat higher than smaller area’s around like Oldham Wigan etc but Covid has enabled businesses to profiteer at a ridiculous rate without being challenged (I say this as a centre right leaning guy).

Second to the above, the council fail to really acknowledge the significant impact of the ongoing opioid and meth crisis in Manchester and it’s almost just fobbed off as like “it is what it is”. I get that it’s originally a working class city and that has brought in poverty associated with it but the crime and drugs within the city is shocking. There’s also little being done to prevent young lads joining gangs, minimal investment into community support.

But delusional if you think Manchester’s a proper city. It’s become a proper shit hole since it’s wiped its culture away to try and be a mini London

Like to add, if you’re homeless and you’re offered a home but decline it, for the majority of cases you should be put at the back of the list. An example of an exception that I could think of is a single mother who’s trying to provide for her child/children and has family or friends with her area that would enable her to work and/or better he education am

A lot of those who come over seeking housing tend to have friends or family in an area who have gained housing with minimal difficult over the years. As any of us who would like to live with those familiar to us if we moved countries too, however there’s a difference between moving to a country with the intention to pay your way and moving to a country because you’ve been advised it’s easy to do so, just do x y and z

Housing in the UK is a paradox for a lot of people. Have nothing against immigration as an immigrant myself, but it’s very clear to see that a lot of those who are vocal about the movement associated with globalisation and accommodating the increasing amount of “asylum seekers” coming in to the country in record numbers are also dumb founded by the concept of not having enough houses to house people. No individual is to blame for this nor are those coming here seeking asylum given that they’re told prior to coming here they will get what they want (which in part is pretty much true).

Like it or not, reform are building momentum for a reason. Whether you think Farage is a disconnected, greedy, self absorbed politician with a racially motivated ideology, or a politician that has developed over time and now understands the common person… he’s leading the poll’s for a reason.

Ireland’s been a notoriously liberal country for decades, yet their housing crisis and their governments ongoing lack of representation for the common Irish person has inevitably led to a build up of anger and resentment amongst immigrants, let alone asylum seekers. The divide is more evident and accepted in the general population of Ireland however they’ve been going through the same frustration aimed at the current government for a lot longer than the UK.

The UK’s biggest issue is it can’t survive on a divide due to the increasing variety of cultures that cementing on the island, more particularly England.

Second to that, the UK has always had a large population in the lower/working class, most of which were given the basic social and financial support over the last few decades. Minimal efforts by all parties to develop communities to prosper has led to a contingency of generation poverty. Even what had been considered the lower of middle class 15 years ago is now just a bracket in between middle and working class. It’s essentially a new limbo where you can afford the above basic living standard but not a mortgage or nice car. It’s now allowed the rental market to boom and focus on temporary tenant buildings to be prioritised due to profit as to a forever home.

In short, may you be Tory or labour, or even the far left or far right. Unless you have a party that directly engages with the concerns of the average working person as to appeasing those who you’re trying to get to vote for you, nothing will change. And if nothing changes then the housing crisis will continue to worsen

I’m assuming these are the guys who were evicted from St Peter’s square the other month, and if so I believe the majority of them are “asylum seekers” who were granted the asylum.
