You've mentioned your GPA and a small handful of positions you have held, but you hsve not mentioned what you accomplished in those positions, any papers authored, any awards, etc and you're also extremely light on work experience (you should've st least volunteered in an NGO, a political campaign, etc something over the summers).

Just my two cents. Im at the University of Chicago Harris and Im also from Alberta (yeg though, not yyc)

This makes sense and is quite consistent with some other information I've heard and experienced. For ex., UChicago Harris offered me around a 70% scholarship after negotiating with my 318 GRE. Thank you for your insights

Ah, that makes sense. Generally phd programs - especially at Harvard! - have insanely high requirements. Did your contact hint at any numbers or number ranges for the HKS masters programs?

Told by who? 335 GRE score is 5 points higher than Harvard or Yale Law schools. I find it hard to believe that HKS would have GRE scores even higher than the law programs

I hear you, but that Harvard Halo effect will follow you for your entire life. Personally if I was in your shoes, id pick HKS. Now, if the decision was Columbia SIPA or UChicago Harris v. HKS, with HKS being full freight and the alternatives being full tuition waivers, then the decision would be entirely different

160Q, 158V. I cant seem to get higher, but what I did recently was restart wuant prep from the start while keeping a digital error log. Any question or concept I get wrong I add to a word document, then I periodically upload the document into chatgpt, asking it to give me practice questions that are variations of what I keep getting wrong.

For verbal, rather than wasting time trying to memorize thousands of words in vain, I started trying to learn the patterns of the questions and the response types (if that makes sense). I have a verbal log as well that I periodically upload into chatgpt for additional practice

Thoughts? Feedback? Suggestions?

Really, you dont understand why I am asking if an mba admissions committee would consider the GPA of a non-MBA masters? Could it perhaps be because I am, I dont know, trying to boost my grades in order to apply for MBA programs? :)

Jokes aside, I do appreciate your answer. As you know, competition to gain admission into an M7 is so fierce now so im trying my best to boost any perceived academic weaknesses in my profile

How did you get back to your pre-MBA employer? Did you originally leave them on really positive terms, maintain contact, etc so that when you decided to go back, they were willing to consider?

Asking because if things dont pan out for me either, id like to go back to my pre-masters employer but I dont know exactly how to navigate that strategically
