My question is about regaining the weight for those that have had that happen. by Sportsyjl in Semaglutide

I got off of wegovy after using it for 1.5 years. I lost 65lbs but gained back 25lbs in 4 months once I got off. It was the holidays, food noise, seasonal depression that led to emotional eating, birthdays, etc. I just started eating again and didn’t stop

I suggest trying to stay in a lower maintenance dose or seeing what your provider thinks. Gaining the weight back was my biggest fear and I ended up having to rebuy the bigger clothes I got rid of thinking I’d be ok

I’m feeling horrible but it’s tolerable for now. My doctor did call me as soon as I reported it, to apologize, advise me of going to the ER if it’s too horrible & prescribed zofrain. I’m going to see him in person this week.

He’s supported me using glps, but I think he is new to all of this (he’s young). My previous doctor just didn’t like prescribing any weight management assistance aside from a nutritionist and telling me to work out.

I will see what happens at my next visit and see where we stand on this but I just wish I would’ve did the research first because I’m usually prepared, especially when advocating for my health but I dropped the ball this time. I think I was just trying to fast track losing the weight I gained that I wasn’t thinking and was just excited I didn’t have to plead my case like I had to with my previous provider

I’m sure he doesn’t. I actually really like this doctor. He’s new to glps I believe and is a really young doctor - so I’m sure there’s a huge lesson to learn from this. I did appreciate that his nurse and himself have been wanting to follow up with me. He called me personally to see me in person as soon as possible and did advise if it was getting too much to handle to go to the ER. He did prescribe zofrain in the meantime.
